not a bad trick but again its hard ot nail it to scammers. I miss the dg lure along with the wildy. Made bank with my friends out of that.

Its kind of fun to pretend to be incredibly gullible and just waste their time. Im usually surprised they dont catch on quicker.

HAS ANYONE HAD THIS LURE TRIED ON THEM RECENTLY?

 

When people used to lure @ red portal, I myself used to do it. Then I thought I could get really clever with my green partyhat.. I put the partyhat on my pure at the time, and logged my main out @ the spot for trying to telegrab behind the tree. Then went and tried to get myself lured.

A guy approaches me and talks me through the usual bullshit, and I play a long playing pretty hard to get, but he was wearing a santa, and that's what I wanted. So anyway, he takes me to the spot with the usual killer pming me telling me I'm being lured and I should take telegrabs, I made it obvious that my prayer level was less than the requirement for protect item. So they get me out there, I see the money on the ground and say, I'm not risking it for a cash pile, it could be 10k.. Put your santa down there and then at least I know what I'm getting ! They eventually put it down, logged in on my main when it became visible ( dual log ) stood under my pure wearing ganodermic, telegrabbed the santa and off I went to a free santa! I felt really proud to of solo-anti lured haha.

This is how the lure in OP worked (it's now patched).

The only reason the pod is involved is to allow you to think that you can antilure them, but instead you still fall for the lure. They'll tell you to drop your items, they'll trade you money, then you must use the pod and then pick up your items. You'll be left to think "I can just pick up my items before I use the pod." However, once you drop the items and are in trade screen, their partner will log on and spam a clue scroll emote that summons uri right under your space, because the emote was spammed, your whole right click will be full of uri's and you won't be able to pick up your items. However, they turn the click settling to right click only (i believe it's this option) instead of left click when possible which allows them to see the dropped item over the 100s of uri interfaces. What he says basically somes it up and sadly unless you are fully aware of how a lure works nowadays don't fall for any "anti-lure" tricks people try to tell you.. This was a good one along with the clockwork cat in duel arena one

 

haha thanks dude. I bet it was something like this. It was in rs3 though, I should have mentioned. I think it has something to do with summoning. The guy who tried to lure me ran over to the fountain east of the ge.

Both people in the trade will be teleported using the grand seed pod. They will likely lure you to a dead area with no other players you will drop the item and trade them, you'll think they'll accept the trade and you'll get the money and the pod and just not launch the pod, but for some reason you are both teleported as if you both launched the pod. Maybe another person tele other both of you. meanwhile someone else will then swipe in and take the item you dropped.

 

I mean I might try it out just cause decent money itself can be made, but how much would they even give (i don't really think these guys will give you like 100m and a pod as people would prob run away with it), I feel like they'd just give the pod and say click and we give u gp after...

 

You can't trust anyone these days so it's probably not just a nice guy.

 

Same thing happened to me, its definately a lure. I just ran around acting like an idiot and saying that my mom is taking control of the game and moving my character.

I remember in 2013 that someone gave me one and said I should click that and I banked quickly my phat and armour and I clicked it, some lures are really obvious
