Well a friend I know was playing around with ge, and found a way to rise and drop prices, he found out how to buy and sell items to YOURSELF. Just watch this video and you'll understand what I mean:

Lol, the thing is that this was MONTHS AGO. Now their is the 4hr limit per 100 weapons, buying and selling back, etc.

Lol hardly any hacking involved here. But yes it is possible and I've accidentally done this myself.

It can be used to raise prices for items that aren't traded much, basically making your junk's value raise.

I think it still works you are selling it to yourself so I don't think the 4hour limit counts?

Selling items to yourself has no effect on the economy.

The GE measures the supply and demand of an item. Since you are increasing supply and demand by the same amount, the process is null.

 

It doesnt work by supply and demand(although it should, thats the flaw in GE). The prices change by the amount of of items that are sold for over or under the market price. So technically depending on the item this could be very good to manipulate prices. Of course it would only work for items that aren't sold very often.
