    Graduating this year.

I am graduating high school this year and going into college next year. I was wondering how is it different from high school girl wise and people wise? I heard everybody is much more social and talkative and its much easier making friends. How are the parties btw? Is there alot of parties, are they as wild as they appear in movies?

People are, of course, generally smarter in college and can actually carry out a full conversation. Other freshman hardly know anyone either, and will be just as eager to make new friends and socialize. Don't be afraid to talk to people, especially in your classes. You'll naturally develop many great friendships with other people in your major.

But don't expect every girl you make friends with to want to have sex with you. Most people in college care way more about their education than about "hooking up". Sure there are some slutty sorority girls, but please don't think that ALL girls will be like this (the common freshman guy mentality).

If you want to spend all of your time partying and trying to hook up with girls, you'll most likely fail your classes and get kicked out of whichever school you plan on going to (unless you're in some bullshit major like Hospitality). There are parties every day, and yeah a lot of them are just as crazy, if not crazier, than in movies/television. Most schools have a ton of fraternities that you can join, the majority of which are focused on social events (parties). If you join one of these, you'll always know when/where the next party will be.

College is serious. You need to develop self-control with these kinds of things. I know many people who ended up dropping out because they put all their energy into partying. It is VERY exciting at first, but if you control yourself and be mature, you'll have some of the best four years of your life :D

Everyone is in the same situation for the most part, not knowing many people, so everyone will be more outgoing and friendly. Parties were super fun, and I had an amazing freshmen year even though I was a little worried. Just keep on top of the work!

College is pretty great girl wise, and much better than high school in my opinion because it is WAY easier to find a "perfect" girl. Somebody who is smart, funny, beautiful, and interested in the same things as you. In high school, I found those kinds of girls were few and far between, and everybody is a lot less mature.

Just take Amethyst's advice and meet as many people as you possibly can. There are some pretty wild parties out there and if you make a lot of friends, you will find yourself at them in no time ;)
