Gotta collect em all...Penguin Points!

Just felt like posting this because this is the longest wait I have seen to get into a world with this system, lol.

As you all know, Thursday (which started today for the region these events are based off of, I think BST), so the event of the day is Distractions and Diversions, who all get bonuses in what you do. Well for Penguin hunting, it means double points. Max normally is 16 a week, so today you would get 32 + you could've gotten 16 on Wednesday before they reset for D&D day, which means 48 total for this penguin week.

Got carried off...anyways, because of this great week for penguin points, and the fact that w60 is arguably the most popular penguin hunting world, w60 is extremely crowded right now, lol...this picture should show you what I mean:

You'd be much better off trying w71.

How long did you have to wait to get in, assuming you got in?

 

Well I was actually making this thread while I was waiting, lol, and I didn't wait the whole time because it wasn't worth it. It was around 11-12min to get from the number in the pic down to 1.1kish. I was like 'to hell with this' so I went to w71 instead. ;D

 

If it's this bad today, imagine tomorrow

 

Yeah, especially with people unaware of other worlds and trying to get their points at the last second, lol.

 

dont they put you on a waiting list? 11-12min seems way to long to be waiting :laugh:

 

That's what the '1952' is in the picture, the queue list(waiting list). In order to get into a world that is full you have to wait until it counts all the way down. One of the reasons it was changed to this was so people wouldn't have to constantly spam click a full world to get into it. Either could be seen as better or worse, depending on how you see it, lol. :x

 

Haha, I saw it in the 1700s. It only took about 10 minutes to get in, tho.

Would have sucked before they implemented the update with the queue. You'd have to sit there clicking forever, hoping that once - just once - you get ahead of a couple of the others.

 

It cleared out after a few hours, everyone wanted to do it right when it started when you didn't need too.

50 peng points, that's nearly max isn't it? How much XP would that have been?

 

Yeah, 50 points is the max you can store at once. The amount of exp you get depends on this:

*You're level in the skill you're using on* x 25 x * how many points you have*

So if you have 50 points and you're skill level is like...70, you would get (50 x 70 x 25) 87,500 exp.
