Got three prizeboxes even though i didn't donate?

There should of been a pm sent out to everyone who received winning prizeboxes. I'll let the Admins know when we request CDT stuff next time Told @Shin it would be good to do so for the In memory of Jon Minirank. So hopefully we can do that for anything being given out next time.

The PM's are automated when awarding prizeboxes to someone (mostly due to donations).

I don't believe we have something implemented for when we hand out individual miniranks, however. Matthew would have to add that if necessary.

when CDT requests prizeboxes or miniranks being handed out, is there any way of having automatic pm system?

If there isn't yet, I don't know if there is for prizeboxes, but for miniranks in the future.

Sometimes from the end of the event, till when miniranks are handed out there can be a large gap of time in between and people either don't know (like I mentioned before the miniranks not being automatic in post bit anymore) // get confused.

 

There are two ways for an admin to award prizeboxes.

One is using the Award Prizebox tool in the user center. This tool lets you award prizeboxes to a user AND sends an automated PM.

The other is just by editing the user and adding the prizebox MiniRank to their account with a count greater than 0 (or adding to the count they have). This does NOT send an automated PM.

I think the issue is that the award prizebox tool is more restricted than the user editing functions, so I'll have to adjust the permissions so people can access the prizebox tool. Once that's done, they can award them with an automated PM. (This only applies to prizeboxes though, for other MiniRanks there is no PM)

No. The automated PMs are just for prizeboxes awarded using the prizebox tool. If admins award other miniranks it's up to them or the mod who requested it to notify the user.

Adding prizebox Minirank to their account with the drop down. You can't edit the numbers either. You can only award Prizeboxes with the tool you have.

Oh right, I surprise even myself sometimes. Yeah that's correct, the Prizebox MiniRank is "locked" meaning no one can award it or change the quantity of it without a special permissions flag. So yes, you have to use the award tool which means a PM should always be sent.
