Got bored in class

No effort involved really, just brushes and smudging and marquee/pentool work. best way to pass two hours of boring ass class, yeah?

I should look up a tutorial on how to make really realistic star-fields, the simple Generate Noise and gaussian blur really isn't doing it, it looks too flat

 

What does this represent?

 

Generating a star-field like http://universe-beauty.com/albums/space/Star-field-hubble-deep.JPG [Huge Pic] would just be soft brush with some blur and glow. I think that's the most fitting sort of field for this type of piece anyhow. Either way have a look at a few star-fields, notice they generally consist of colorful glowing balls floating in nothing, no BG noise

 

Uhhh... how bored I can get in college classes? idk I wasn't trying for anything in particular besides the whole space theme, I was just playing it by ear, putting in things I thought would look cool, and keeping it if it did look cool

I agree with you, the stars do look quite flat though. Maybe just finding a stock would be the best option. Reminds me a bit of pink floyd's album cover

I'm not a fan of your piece but I feel the lighting on the holes is really good.

Looks really nice for something you just did randomly. I made this my background to test my new 27" monitor and it looks really cool stretched

 

Space stocks are cheap! I'll just look up a tut on making one from scratch, I never tried before, so it'll be fun to learn
