Google Fiber

Awesome company starting to sell fiber internet for really cheap! What could be wrong with that?? My only negative is that they take forever to get it setup in cities unfortunately . I'm still not eligible, how about you guys? If you have it what do you think? Love it or hate it? Feel free to use this thread as a discussion about Google Fiber

 

It's stupidly quick, but like you said it's just not widely available. Do you have to use fiber cables instead of like CAT6 ethernet? Because of the speed?

Yeah it's like 1000mb download (maybe upload aswell) they did an event thing years ago when it first came out with a room mockup and everyone was doing speedtests and stuff. There are alternatives to Google fibre, still fibre but just different companies but im not sure how you get it installed or how good they are or whatever

 

I think the best part about fibre is that it's
A. Google, a good company that really cares
B. A great price too, like 70$ for 1 gig? That's amazing

 

Yeah because google is already so popular they dont relly need to advertise their products, they just kinda release them and everyone goes crazy
