This is why everything is case by case, Louis was active, it was discussed in SL, it was dealt with, so was Viets.. the time frame doesnt make a difference.

Besides, Louis was mod at the time too, therefore his case is alot more severe and must be dealt with faster. Which it was.

I dont know if you've realised it yet, but what I'm trying to say is I don't want you to leave, especially over such a ridiculous reason.

I've been here for 5+ years and have yet to catch wind of a promotion even with my activity in the market sections. Flawless record trading, many vouches, strong community member you think i'd be a good candidate?

I stopped being active for identical reasons after watching members who joined late 2010/2011 be promoted.

The funny thought is that if I was buddy buddy more with the staff and if I spent time on IRC I feel like I would have had more of a chance, it seems like that is the way to go these days; only way to get noticed.

I was never banned. Also I compensated the user EVEN THOUGH it was determined I did not have to and that failure to compare emails was the cause.

Activity is important but of course the staff want to get to know YOU before they bring YOU onboard. Nevertheless if you're being helpful and helping the site you should be noticed.

I had also thought that this was how things went, but then, considering:

I have never really had a full conversation (that is, beyond a few lines) with another staff member, whether on MSN or here on Sythe via PM or whatnot.
I keep to myself mostly and only really converse with those few who contact me through MSN now and then.
I don't frequent IRC, and I don't have any of the other staff members added on Facebook nor do I have anything to do with any of them outside of the fact that we are all staff.

Either I'm the ultimate exception to the norm, or things are not so dire as one might believe.

Someones but-hurt that they didn't get staff/acknowledged for doing what anyone with the slightest ounce of intelligence would do.

That is how i see it.

Why should favoritism even affect you, your not important or have any role to play here.
