make the most out of it you can down at "camp" jackson. one of my buddies got jackson for basic and after comparing stories it was quite obvious that jackson has a very easy basic training program. good luck man

Best of Luck in Bootcamp - Take every minute you can and really go into it full hearted, never slack. Also remember to help comrades that aren't as strong as you either physically of psycially.

 

Don't worry, the people you'll be fighting will all be using ak 47s, which have awful recoil.

I couldn't stop laughing, U.S Army..
Pending on what you do, just pray you don't get infantry, or just count on back+knee problems later in life. Try joining MP, since it is Army, that is probably going to give you as much action as you can in the Army.

Marine Corps would be better, but most people are scared of the intense 13 weeks of training (which isn't even the worst of it).

My thoughts exactly.

This communities perception of a 'man' strays far from my own. I won't even get started on the war, let alone the humble emptiness of praying to a god for someone- especially over the internet.

In my first post I tried to stay slightly positive towards Jordan's decision, but after thinking about it a bit I realized that he was joining the army for all the wrong reasons. He is putting his life on the line fighting for a stupid cause, just to convince his mother (who will love him anyway) that he is a man. He might get killed, maimed, captured, or suffer serious psychological damage. I wouldn't consider his reasons justification for his action, but in the end it is up to Jordan.
Just make sure that you are doing something that you enjoy and believe in.
