Poem of...

Anyways *-)..
Ive been getting into writing and such just for fun, and I want to know what everyone thinks about this. Thanks. GB. Take it the way you wanna, but I wrote this for a friend who commited suicide earlier this year and its also based on my faith and how I went through crap this yr.. So yah, here it is guys...


Walk onto stage my friend
You’re so used to this game of pretend
The show has come to an end
Still, these broken memories you cannot mend.

Take off the mascara
For far too long you’ve sung this opera
Of lies beyond the yonder of truth
The screws holding your lies are coming loose.

You walked away so suddenly
But left this self conducted symphony
To play a tainted catastrophic melody.

I’ve seen where the fruit grows
Where blossomed tree’s roots grow in meadows
Spreading its leaves to the heavens below
Whilst its fruit slaughtered by the crow

A child’s cries resonate to his mother
He continues to wander
Complete innocence buried with corpse
Beneath concrete that secluded all hopes
Slander our dreams with despair

Closer to death
Grey crowned hair
Stolen few precious breaths
Until destruction was written on my skin
The two horned beast wielding armour of tin

Magic by the star turned towards the damned sea
Of prophets, who bled from the tongue of slander and blasphemy
Blood quenches their hands,
With the flesh of the hopeless and damned.

Prince of war
Gallows hang your whore
Her eyes bolt from east to west
As the promise of the rope strangles the breath from her chest.

The sky dressed itself in black
The stars sat on its laps
To blankly watch its empire collapse

Illusions of the skin
A new rhythm, beating within.
Once a pilgrim begging away from starvation
His hands vanquishing all temptation

Listen to my heartbeat run,
Listen to my heart,
As if it’s just begun.

The tide rises towards my feet
Finally, I can see the light glaring
Beautiful echo of an unsung defeat
Old skin now tearing

As Geheena’s wolf growls my prayers dry
Emptying my cup of the purity of life
The sound surrounding me, I remain hypnotized
Piercing through my soul with his teeth of strife;

The beast of chaos
Casting his hearsay into the lost
The windows to my soul covered in frost.

Stepping my feet on this land tainted with destruction
Pressing my blade against my side
My enemy screams madness of deception
Fiercely, I & thy enemy collide

His eyes storming the garden
That I’ve grown; destroying what I’ve sown
No longer will this be my Eden
Thus an eagle stretches his wings into the unknown

The majestic bird settles in his tomb
Beast, fear grows like that of an infant
His curses turn into praise of mercy, but to whom?
Eagle; I beg the rise from your descent!

A mighty roar shatters the rubble that holds the majesty
Oblivious to the shackles binding his feet
The lion, the King rises to seat on the throne of eternity
Beast, begs for mercy; admitting solemnest defeat

Judgment is all that remains
The blood on my hands begin to stain
Cleansed by the shepherd
I am blessed beyond the screams of evil that whisper

Darkness that once conquered the valley
Is now deemed to putrid desert of fatality
And the new era of beginning
Stands forth to the ledge of the mountain beyond the clouds of time, never-ending

Softly whisper in my ear
Promising me that I shall not fear
That what I lived to die for was finally clear
And the hands of promise wiping away every tear

The Lord of all kingdoms
With the everlasting love of his wisdom
Waited thousands of painful years
For the moment that He held so dear
Now that I am here
My father, forever is history
But in you time has become a mystery.

Gates open to reveal its preserved beauty within
Through all of the deception I’ve portrayed
You waited, and you’re growing love never delayed...

Very nice mate. I actually liked it. Most poems on Sythe are... childish, but yours is very nice.

Of course I have, but I'm not that into any instruments or any of that =S. I would love for a band to ask me to use these lyrics and stuff. But hey, if it happens it happens! Either way, I love writing =D.
