Lmao why u need 8gb of ram ??? its not like bigger numbers make computer better... U will never use that much RAM. How many users are u planning to bot at the same time. And i suggest powerbot when u start boting cause it requres a lot less CPU than other bots so u can bot with more users at the same time. I have 2.2GHz core duo and 4 GB of ram. I can run three bots with powerbot and its using 100%of my cpu and 1.2 GB of ram. So u should get a good proccesor cause RAM will probably not be the problem since u said u need a computer for botting RS.

    Good Computer?

I would only get 8 gig ram because it's free on the hp I was looking at.
    I was originally 4.

As I said, if you buy a laptop you will almost surely be disappointed in how well you can bot on it. You'll get a MUCH better botting experience on a desktop. Not to mention for $800 you'll get an amazing system, not just an average build like you mentioned. Also, as stated above me, you will never use 8GB of RAM. 4GB will work perfectly.

I agree with ShockWaveee - If u want to bot with multiple users simultaneously then buy a desktop computer. It is guaranteed that u will get MUCH better computer for same money. Laptops price/performance ratio is not as good as Desktop computer.

What kind of GFX card do you have? I'd imagine the only reason it's using that much CPU is because the CPU is taking the load off of what's probably an onboard GFX card. I could easily be wrong though.

If you're only going to run one bot you'd be fine with that laptop. I was under the impression you wanted a high number of bots. My laptop which isn't as fast ran two fine. The only problem is you have to run the laptop 24/7 or however long you want your bot to run, which kinda sucks.

Is your processor a single core? Also, there are some pretty low-end Nvidia cards, they're not all great.

    Good Computer?

Its possible to bot on laptop just that you could get a lot better computer if u buy desktop computer. The specs that u posted earlier will easily let u bot. Not sure how many users at the time but fact is that for the same money you can get even better desktop computer.

And even if you have two computers, one desktop one laptop, with the same exact specs, the desktop will perform better. The reason for this is that desktops have regular processor/GFX cards, etc. while laptops use mobile versions of the hardware, allowing for more battery power/smaller size, at the cost of performance.

    Good Computer?

    Thanks for your help fellas
The ONLY reason I'm getting a laptop is for school.
If I could chose I'd get a desktop, but it hoesntly doesn't matter as long as I can bot 1-2 accts.

No problem man. 1 or 2 will run absolutely fine, maybe 3 if you overclocked =] I wouldn't recommend that for a beginner though.

runescape is processor bottle necked, you don't need anything more than a mid range graphics card and fast dual core/mid range quad core with 4-6 gigs of ram and a 64 bit OS. Old Core2 duo e7x or even better the e8x are fine and will run past 4ghz all day long but for a new build look for something more along the line of a core i5 750

I don't see anything over a 8800/9800 GTX really being beneficial
