good CHEAP ear buds

I need some tough cheap $5-20 earbuds. They are for work so im much more concerned with the thickness of wire and quality of manufacture rather than sound quality.

Ive destroyed between 3-5 pairs this year alone is why the cheap factor is in play. These were primarily dollar store type. Ipod headphones lasted me a while but am not sure where to get them.

Any advice?

 

With good care, even dollar store type earphones can last a pretty damn long time.
I'm going to recommend that LG earphones for the Optimus G phone; they cost less than $20 but are famous for having the quality for earbuds worth $70+

 

House Of Marley earbuds, the $20 pair are great. Get a pair on ebay. They have a cloth chord and it is almost impossible to destroy. I usually have a pair of headphones for around 2 weeks, but these have lasted nearly 3 months.

 

Some guy on here is selling knockoff beats earbuds, i had a pair myself and they're thick and durable perfect for a factory!

 

I've found that for cheap, iPod earbuds lasted me the longest (by far) as well. I also really like how they feel; I can wear them for however long without my ears starting to ache or feel weird.

You can get the higher-quality (not knockoff) Apple ones for around $5 on eBay, which is what I always do when mine give out.

I work construction, i cant pussy foot around with the cheap earbuds. The thin wires strectch and break or the input jack gets bumped and the sound gets screwed.

So mainly its durability im concerned with. Are these LG's supposed to be tough or just sound good??

I got some similar to those and they were tough but I couldnt find them ever again, they were a $10 random gas station find.

Braided nylon wrapped around the entire cord?? If so that sounds like exactly what im looking for.

yeah they're super durable. I have a bad habit of chewing on the chord for some reason so the inner wires are coming out.
