Dragonhomie1 (Pleb) is a Scammer

Explanation of the trade: I was going to buy the RSN "Pleb" for 640m RS3. I paid him 75% first and then was going to pay the last 25% after.

How they scammed: Double bonded on the RSN Pleb, but quickly sniped it on an alt account.

You can't tell it was dragonhomie who sniped it unless you have more proof, all you have is you failing to take the name and you both feeling hard done by because you don't get the name and dragonhomie doesn't get all his gold

 

So you don't think the fact the RSN was instantly taken is suspicious? Only we knew about it. He changed his RSN to the same thing over so I wouldn't see that he changed it.

 

Only you and the rest of the people who looked at the thread, added the account to their friends list and watched you take 5 minutes to perform the second name change yeah

Also changing to the same name is the best way to avoid something like this happening, again read the xfer guide

 

Okay so we're just gonna ignore the proof? He clearly deleted me from skype. Also, if it was a random name sniper, why would they PM me, of all people? The name sniper wouldn't have known I was trying to buy it.

It's obvious he's psychologically manipulating you by playing the victim. Open your eyes. I'm left with nothing while he's getting what he wants.. To top it off, he has no proof I did anything wrong and I do.

 

How would the sniper not know you're trying to buy it? They just thought 'oh today I'll try snipe the name pleb lol I wonder if it's for sale'?
Neither of you have shown any proof of anything but I'm not a mod not for me to decide I just know they ignore name sales bc they don't know what's going on and I'm trying to help out - but I know it'll end up as 'no proof sorry'

 

I'm saying a random name sniper would have no possible way to know my in game name. My sythe doesn't have my RSN on it. Only dragonhomie1 knew. I clearly got the name seller upset by posting what I have and pmed me. There's a connection in every end. I'm not doing this for my money back, but I'm letting people know not to buy this RSN because he's unfairly making gp off it. Let's not disregard my evidence either. I at least have something while he's claiming I'm the scammer.

 

You posted a YouTube video with your rsn on it anyone who visits the site can see your rsn and your Skype contacts. Personally if I had a maxed acc I'd blur that out better
Look at it from his perspective, he's missing out on 25% of cash because you claim you didn't get the name- he doesn't know you didn't load an alt and take it on there either so this is pointless
I know it sucks but neither of you can do much imo without more proof

 

I posted the video AFTER it happened. I got the PM BEFORE the video was up. As others have said, a typical trade is 50/50. He asked for 75 and I suppose it's because he wanted to profit more. You can clearly see my screen and I had no other rs pages open.

 

Also, it would make no sense to go through all this effort to prove Pleb is a scammer name. Say I had the name pleb, would I want it to be known as a scammer? No. Also, I paid him 75%. Why would I scam the last 25%? If I did scam him, why would I be here right now?

Alright cool, thanks. Did you get that PM from the RSN "Pleb" before or after you posted the video on https://www.sythe.org/posts/22207947/ ?

 

I received it before I uploaded it. I was blocking out the names of skype contacts for their privacy while I was lobbied. Switched back because I was PMing a friend about it and I saw that message.

 

The screenshot of the PM from Pleb says 3:46pm though, and I think you uploaded the video at 3:35pm. So unfortunately, we can't use the pm from Pleb as proof since it could have been anyone >.<

I'll leave this open for other staff opinions, but I don't think there's enough proof in this report unfortunately. In the future, follow the guide that explains how to transfer rare names.

 

It's okay, I understand. The reason for that is because I didn't think the pm was of any significance. I told a friend about the message and she said I should screenshot it since it's a clear connection. Thanks for looking into it though. Like I said, I don't expect anything back, but I just don't want this guy making more money off the RSN by scamming.

 

There isn't much you can do in regards to proving what happened. Its just the nature of these forms of trades. However, when trading did you both speak regarding where the liability would fall if the name was sniped?
