sythe its time and you know it. Were all thinking it. Rsbots is making so much money and we all know why. I think its time to set up paypal (its not a hassle at all it would take a few hours to set it up with ipn and such), make a donation rank, donator forums, other perks. Have it basically be like rsbot kind of because they actually make a ton of money.(meaning recurring donator fees). And add a rank that is like market dealer. And is basically a rank that shows the person is most likely not a scammer and have it be like 25-50 dollars paypal. I would do that as would most people who do that type of stuff in heavy degree like people who make money on the sythe markets. Include like special treatment for mods or admins to look at them or their services/guides/accounts and vouch for it or whatever. That would cut scamming and make tons of money for you. Let donators get more things for their recurriing membership like a ut (not those speciall titles for names though) and cooler looking ranks along with differently colored names.

oh and require that to see some sections of the forums you have to register on sythe that would make the hundreds of guests members and add to the community.

RSbot.org is a site more or less based on Botting and such, Their black market forums arnt SMALL, but no where as big as sythe, and more donators could be scammers from sythe..

RSbot.org has more members for their botting program than any thing, The owner must not feel its a threat using paypal for donations.

Not to mention..

I could donate 200$ to look "legit" then sell a 130+ account and scam 400$+, and just reclaim my money any ways, even if I failed to get it back.. I still made money.



That's why people like "Fatih" I think I'd trust him knowingly he donated 200$+? There is no chance he will ever get that money back.. So I hope he doesnt scam my item ranging from 1-150$+ if he would legitly dump that kind of money for a donation.

 

^Can't you automate a system to check for and ban people who recover paypal money? >_>.

 

I know when I sell a mining pure for 30$ or something id prob donate 5-10$ per acc I sell or something, I just cba to go to bank mail it and such.


And SuF, like a automatic ban when Paypal money is recovered?

They could scam and then recover the money :/ so it kind of defeats the purpose lol, they are getting banned any ways.

 

Just make them send as a gift.

 

That is still easily recovered.

 

All paypal can be easily recovered, thats just the least likely.



Also I don't think you can claim money back after a month of the transaction? I could be wrong..

If this is the case.. Just make it you have to wait one month before receiving your donator status.

Maybe give them a "Pending Donator" Ranking like a faded guthix armor set for 5$+ Donations? Idk.

 

See im a genious haha don not suggest my ass. Dont worry about paypal fraud. Its actually not a big deal just make the only payments accepted as a gift and thats more than 80 percent of the battle. For people who decide to go to great heights by calling paypal (paypal disputes cannot be made on the websites if the payment is a gift) just do your best to state your case and move on. Maybe they might get their money back or maybe their case might fail ban them permantely and get over it. WOOT they got back their 3 dolallars paypal fraud honestly isnt a big deal.

 

If you honestly had a paypal donation system, you'd be making 5x whatever you make now, no joke considering at least half the community or more uses paypal.

 

It's 45 days. And idk if anyone would want to wait 45 days when donating just for the benefits.

 

I'll be honest in saying the only reason I'd donate is probably for the "Donator" status stuff, people say the donator forum sucks any ways, and theres really no benefits for 5$+, maybe for 200$+ they wouldn't want to wait, but meh just an idea.

 

Isn't there a way to work with the IPN system and make it where the person automatically gets banned if the payment is void? Also there are some websites that only accept certain types of payment. Not sure if you can do that or if it's just exclusive to big businesses. Maybe only accept donations from verified paypals?

(Edit) You could also set up a subscription system and let people pay a montly fee for more private messages, ninja mode, and other 'hidden' perks. That way scammers can't just use it for trust then chargeback. If someone does take it back, then the only loss is a small amount of disk/bandwidth space for the extra messages.

 

Usfine couldnt afford the adspace because they did legitimate business. They bought accounts for a fair price and sold them for a fair price. Their gold was fair and took time to transfer because they worked everything by hand.

On the contrary, gold4rs uses bots for just about every order (i have 3 seperate offences on 2 accounts to back that up), also their gold, items and account buying prices are very unfair.

I must give kudos however; they do have a very good profit motive. Buy EXTREMELY low, bot to save manpower (and employees to pay) and sell EXTREMELY high. Very good profit motive.

Their weak points are the occasional account they "lose the password for" and chargeback you on paypal. Or the payment they "swear sent to you" yet you never recieved it.

Let them have the adspace. In my opinion, if people want the stuff that bad, they'll pay the money and they'll take the risk. If not, then just treat it as a pretty animation at the top of the forum page.

 

Why not put more ads around the site? Google ads gives a few cents or something every click right? It eventually adds up.
