Gold4rs go illegal!

I bought an account for $80. I sold it on for $200. A week or two later, the guy recovers the account and sells it on for $180 to gold4rs. I claimed my money back, but it got denied and so I lost $80 after refunding the $200.
I went onto Runescape and the account was online so I acted friendly in order to get out information...



...After getting this information I went to Gold4rs and had a chat with them in order to fix things.





But looks like they'd rather be illegal...

I'm continuously tracing more information in order to call up paypal and provide them with evidence to receive a refund. I will also attempt to sue gold4rs through teaming with Jagex.

According to the law, stolen goods must be given back to the rightful owner whether or not money has been spent on an intangible/tangible item.

For example, if someone were to steal a ps3 from a shop and sell it, but that ps3 was later discovered to be stolen, by law, the rightful owners are the shop. So, the guy who bought the ps3 of the thief loses his money.

 

^Whilst that is the case, your account remains under property of Jagex so technically whilst you made the account, you don't really own it.

 

Why would you team up with Jagex when you did something illegal to Jagex's ToS? Buying accounts is against their rules and you could possibly get into legal trouble yourself by teaming up lol... Plus, I don't blame them for blowing you off. Anyone can say what you did in a chat. Show them some proof and they may comply but highly doubtful since their workers are ordered to do that unless they want to go without food for a week+

 

I can always claim that I purchased a service. Also, they only closed the chat because I stated that they are in no position to disagree with me. I offered to give evidence and they did not attempt to help the situation. Instead they closed the chat almost instantaneously after I provided them with a piece of Law.

 

The account remains the property of Jagex and they can do what they want with it. However, the information to access the account is not theirs to play with and can be sold on to anyone legally. This is the reason why big sites like gold4rs are still running today. Simply, because Jagex can't find a way to close them down - not even by taking them to court.

 

So your saying your gunna take gold4rs to court for a piece of information that is used to access an account that is Jagex's property?

 

No, because court won't change anything. I am going to get them to refund the guy they sold it to for $400, and claim back the money from whom they bought the account from. After having done this, I will call paypal and provide them with evidence in order to get my money back.

And if the ps3 is stolen, you will need to provide evidence. I could run to the police station right now and claim my xbox was stolen, and point them in the direction of my buddy who owns an xbox.

The statement is one Worldwide. It doesn't matter where you are.

In terms of evidence, I have as much as I need. I know everything about the person. I know his age, what he's doing at the moment, his parents house, his university campus and halls number, his full name, etc. I also have further evidence which I will keep private relating to the account details which proves all of the sales that took place. The information needed now is from gold4rs, but they don't want to help. So, it will have to be enforced upon them through the use of the law.

You can't make a debate and support a false claim.

 

You can debate on the legality of the subject. This subject considers the possibility of Gold4Rs being illegal. The best way to determine this is a lawyer, not a sythe representative therefore it is not your decision to decide upon unless you have evidence to support your claim.

You claimed that Gold4RS goes illegal and that people must view this thread because it's highly important, when actually, it's just you out of luck and losing an account. There's nothing illegal about this - a company, unknowingly buys an account that was later recovered and sells it to someone else. Absolutely nothing illegal about that.

A lawyer wouldn't be able to do anything about this. The only thing they would tell you is that you're breaking Jagex's ToS, nothing else. A Sythe 'representative' however, can make the judgement of allowing you to have that thread title or not. It is 100% my decision and I've gladly removed it.

By the way, you have no evidence that Gold4RS goes illegal, so I'm locking this.
