My winrate average from silver 5 to silver 2 has been about 75-80%...I had a good 9 game streak from silver 4 to 2. Now at silver 1 it's mostly 50%... maybe 60%. Over half of games have a leaver (on my lean or enemy) and 90% of games someone ends up with 5 or more deaths by 20 min.

Rito pls ban Gold 5

if you talk in chat, you're doing it wrong. low silver, gold, platinum, and low diamond players all have ego problems. when im boosting somebody or im on a friends account i literally say nothing. when they see that you're dumpstering your lane they'll start (at least for the most part) listening, and or playing to win.

I made it a rule to mute liberally. I'm mostly avoiding chat except to say things like "fizz meet blue" or "Push top ima go pressure bot" ... That kinda stuff lol.

It's not just the chat though, these guys are their own form of wood division 5 lol

eh everything's carriable. its just a matter of understanding what to do when. what position / champs do you play?

Im in Gold 3, teammates really are heavy as fuck. They chose renekton 2nd pick so our toplaner got to counterpick, picks Garen and we end up with an 7/3 renekton at the end of lane phase...

Play a hard carry to compensate for your shitty team :P

I'm in Gold I and was briefly high plat/low diamond MMR.

I like to play Jax mid, very easy to break 200CS/20mins and get a kill or two if you take wraiths/wolves as well. Nobody really stops Jax either other than maybe CC heavy teams, I just ban Nasus just in case for the AS debuff.

I only have a 16/4 record or something like that (75% win rate) but 3 of those losses were because members on my team left or something like that.

It's just a really different type of game entirely, so my old "carrying" style isn't workinig. I'm adjusting to the trollery and I'm winning more often now. I generally jungle or ADC. Jungle is either heavy tank like Rammus (if I know my carries are good) or I'll play Lee Sin, Udyr, Evelynn, etc.

one common misconception is building damage when you're ahead or behind. you only build damage to a certain point, then stack defense so you can shit on people. if you're ahead you automatically do more because you're a higher level.

I agree, but that's never been my style. In low-silver it was easy to just farm champions, so I had to actually abandon my usual style of play-it-passively-and-win-through-objectives. In gold V there's no telling who's in what team, so it's more of a "push objectives and hope you can get towers faster than your team can feed" mentality.

Lee Sin is my main and I usually get
- Jungle damage item
- Boots
- Situational damage item (Hydra, BT, BORK)
- situational defenses for the last 3 include Randuin's, Aegis, hexdrink, visage, etc

I never get more than 2 damage items on most junglers.

It's hard to explain, but I feel a bit more confident. That, and usually by this ELO I think that at least 1 person on my team is good. I'm trying to find the good person and working with him to win.

Jungle dmg item sucks. Rush tiamat/hydra if you're ahead, and then opt for defensive items. BoRK is a terrible item on Lee. Never, ever get that lol. Unless you're doing it for shit and giggles and or super far ahead that itemisation is irrelevant.

I main Lee aswell.

You're really, really going to hate Gold 1 then.

I build BORK in less than 5% of games on anyone except Vayne or Jax. However, if they end up a bunch of champions who stack HP, BORK is worth it IMO. Plus sometimes the peel is necessary.

Why are all of you so hateful? -_- You're worse than the gold trolls. In my opinion it's even worse to just have a prescribed build where you do nothing but build the same, game after game. I listed items that MIGHT work; not EVERY ITEM is even remotely viable. Just be glad I didn't say Frozen Gauntlet.

BoTRK = AS - useless for lee

Passive - useless for lee as under 20% of dmg come from his auto's
Generally just a dumb build on lee

teach me how to carry with Soraka plz
In-lane poke is very strong, and once you get 6 you need to coordinate excellent ganks and setups. Wait for their ADC to be very far away from their support (1000 units or more) and then ult him, Q to give boost, and use your W proc for the slow. Then switch back to Q for more damage as you chase during the slow.

Once laning phase is over, wait for the other team to line up and if you can ult 3 of them at once it's game over.

Sona's pretty weak pre-6 and she's a one-trick pony post-6, so if you miss Crescendo it's pretty hard to carry as Sona. However, if you land the right Crescendos she's a game changer, which is why she's so popular in LCS.

EDIT: Just to point out, if you DO get support, don't pick Sona. She "can" carry but there are a lot of better supports right now. Tank supports are becoming really strong atm, such as Volibear, Thresh, Taric, and Leona.

Its not THAT hard to carry as Sona, just DONT pick her into a tank support. I have beaten Thresh/Leonas (i main sona) but against taric you're fucked.

Sona is a great overall champ. Poke, sieging (the heal and bonus ad/ap), but her squishiness is what lets her down. One stun and she's gone. I prefer her over tank supports like taric because i feel i can change a teamfight with her, as soon as a riven/fizz etc dive in, crescendo and pray your team follows up with some CC and damage.
