Slight update on the combat front. I decided upon raising the combat level by 1, thus enabling me to get 85 strength, this increases my max hit and for one combat level, I thought this would be beneficial on the staking front. Not many people will stake me to be fair. I will now be 69 combat with 1 def, 1 prayer 85 strength and 90hp.

Getting closer to this goal now.


To answer the peoples questions, I have done a lot of this manually and it is rather time consuming. To be honest I'll be glad to see the back of range.

From my staking wins I have won enough to purchase 65k natures and yew longbows. However I have decided upon using blood runes and attack spells for the HP experience to enable me to get 96 hp at a low combat. It will be quite costly in comparison to high alch, but I think it would be beneficial for the account. So after range this will be the next thing to be worked upon. This will allow me to be combat 72 with 89 strength, 97hp 99 mage and 99 range. Beast or not? ;]

I had also been contemplating selling the account to work on my second staker, who is also similar to this. If not a mirror image. Haha.

 

To be honest, time all really relies upon the method you are using to work on the range. For instance knives are around 55k xp an hour, whereas with bronze arrows it would be closer to 30-32k per hour.

 

Have you been at the caged ogres the entire time? Also if you don't mind agility and quests, you should get a crystal bow and imbue it at Nightmare Zone. It's great XP as the bow stays 10/10 imbued and gets pretty cheap after a few recharges.

 

I barely went to caged ogres, but I was there from 70 to 82-85. It was decent xp. I'm like two hours from 97 range, so I think going for the crystal bow now would be worthless to me, however the thing I hate most is quests. I can't stand doing them. Lol. Doing the two for caged ogres was bad enough, never mind having to do more. I had heard of people using this method, but I can't see it being much faster than using Addy arrows like I'm doing currently.

 

Yeah questing can definitely be annoying some times, that's why I had to stop offering my questing service. Crystal bow with 100 ranged attack, is very accurate and with 70 range strength, it's 21 higher than rune arrows. Obviously it's a bit slower, but I think it's better than addy arrows for sure. As you said though, it's a moot point now because you're so close, and congratulations!

 

I heard that prayer to 43 will deal more damage for it's combat level so it's effiecent in that way. If you're going to be a staker 1 prayer is obviously better!

 

Where are you currently training range? I'm only looking to get my range from 76-80, can you pm if you don't want everyone to know?
