The point of this thread was to prove that the bible is perfect. I can also point out flaws in evloution. I have done my research.

Please point some out. And yes it is flawed. It may not even be true. But that CERTAINLY does not mean the bible is.

If it's so perfect, why does the bible promote slavery? Beating children? Punishing gays with death? Punishing women who speak in church with death?

These are not good things.

Christianity, along with religion in general, has been the cause of mass annihilation of societies. If you want an example, I'd suggest reading up on the Crusades; the war fought in God's name. Christianity has bereaved millions of people from living their lives peacefully.

First of all when you speak of God... it is not a "man in the clouds"...

1. Slavery- Give me something from the bible and I will counter it.

2. Beating children- When your child disobeys if you "spank" him it will create discipline. My parents "spanked" me. They werent being cruel... they did it because they didnt want their child to grop up to be a brat.

3. Killing gays- This was considered a sin in the bible. Just because it is prevelant today dosent meen that not considered "ok". It was a sin and if you were a homo you needed to keep it to yourself. They knew the consequences.

4. Punishing women who speak in church- Give me an example please.. I couldnt find it in the bible.

- Murder of slaves is not acceptable, and if it happens you will be punished minimally. It is of course, fine if you beat the slave and he gets up after a few days.
