Globalisation is on the way out; it's just another step in the development of a nation.

Yes, I would say it is responsible for modern wealth.

Well globalization is really about free trade and private property -- which is effectively free market capitalism.

Capitalism is on the way out in western nations, and so is the unprecedented wealth that it brought.

Africa is a working model of socialism, the poverty and despair that it brings.

It is true that the socialists don't know what they are buying when they call for socialism. But that does not excuse them from the fact that hundreds of millions have died as a direct consequence of the various implementations of their economic system.

Drop a nuclear bomb on purpose, or by accident, it still explodes and causes massive devastation. People die. It's not a toy.

    Globalisation is Good

Capitalism is an economic system in which investment in and ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange of wealth is made and maintained chiefly by private individuals or corporations. As such, globaliztion does indeed provide a gateway for capitalism to thrive; and as you say with capitalism comes wealth. To conclude globalization is indirectly responsible for the MAJORITY of modern wealth (collection + local sale of raw materials CAN be an exception) by allowing the process of capitalism to thrive.

The materials still need to be sold on markets. There must be a market demand for raw materials. Such demand only exists where property can be owned and contracts are honoured.

In fact, the sale of ANYTHING assumes the freedom to trade, a market to sell it on, and something to sell it for (money, goods, services).

So that is still capitalism. Just localized.
