Global Warming

Isnt any one wurried about our future and the affect of global warming? It makes me not want to have children because i know what kind of life they will have in the future. Its scary to thnk that we might be near the end. please people.. carpool, ride your bike, walk for earth's sakes just cut down the polution! post your opinion here plz

This global warming thing is something that hapends wether we are here or not.
Its a part of nature and hapends aproxematly every 750.000 years.
We are experiencing one! The only thing we are doing is making the time between each of these global warmings shorter, but it is extremely slow.
We are talking about 25 years out of 750.000-1.000.000 years.

And this is not something that will continue happening all the time!
The oil we have on earth will be gone in 300 years or so, and after that we will probably be using nuclear power for nearly all of our energy, which is not something that does serius harm to the atmosphere, and life on earth.

So no worry! Your not going to die!

the effects of global warming, if we keep the path that we're going down now instead of trying to change things...
it will be very long, hundreds of years, before anything actualy happens because polution making the air a bit worse..
your children should, unless your like 2 years old and have kids when ur 70, and then your children live to be like 130 years old, your children shouldn't really be effected by global warming.

I'm sorry for double post, but krypton why do you think it's made up? Yes indeed, this has happened in the past too, but driving cars etc just speeds it up

Yes exactly! But for how long will it keep speeding up??
For less than 300 years, or more correctly for as long as we have oil.

In 300 years we will be using nuclear power, which does no harm to the atmosphere meaning that the speeding will stop.

Well lets say that oil is discovered as there might be alot more of it left in the north/south poles. If oil is found there would be perhaps 3 times more than what there is in the middle east if not more.

Man has bin using oil for a good 100 years now, and we´ve got in store for another 300 years.
We´ve speeded up the progress with around 25 years after having used oil for 100-150 years.

Lets say that the oil which is thought to be at the north pole is 3 times more than the oil in the ME, and just to stretch it say that there is enough oil for 2000 years.

2000 years of oil using will speed up the process with around 300-500 years, but 300-500 years out of 1 Million years is nothing, so it really dosent make a difrence.

Without the oil the world would not be as it is, many people would suffer and perhaps die!
With the oil and all of that co2 production no one would die, but there will be more tsunamies and such things, but that is apart of the global warming which will take place anyways!
The water will rise with around 6 meters world wide, perhaps more, but at 1 point there will be another ice age where the water will go down many hundred meters.

Nature has bin created in a way so it can survive through ages!
The only thing we should seriusly worry about should be the tree cutting in the amazonas and such places.
That is something that we cannot survive without, and if it continues perhaps there wont be any more life on earth as we know it in 50.000-100.000 years.
We may be forced to produce the O2 instead of nature creating it for us.

And I really cant blame those people who cut the trees! They are forced to do it! If you have a wife and 2 kids starving in front of you, will you care about the survivel of humanity in 50.000-100.000 years in the furture, or would you cut some trees and provide your family with food and a decent life.

It is the rich countries responsebility and duty to help out those people, and all other poor people.

But ofcourse noone wants to pay for that

if your trying tog et at the US inbetween the lines again..
we have many non profit organizations for thos poor people. maybe other countries besides the US should help too. many people donate and donate out of their own wallets..so the 'richer countries' are helping..

Ofcourse global warming happens regardless of us, but we speed up the process, i can't be bothered typing everything i did in my assignment. I typed it all 3 of these threads ago. Things often repeat themselves on sythe, i think i'm gonna copy everything i put time into so i can repeat on the next thread.

Well Im shure the US has many non profit organizations to help out those poor people, but you need to understand that many of those organisations for the first, do not help the poor people int he amazonas, but instead the african porpulation which is also fine if you ask me.
But you should also know that alot of the money that you are donating to such organizations are not given to the people, but instead used to build churches and to buy bibels and such religius issues.

For example the red cross is one of those organizations.
They are helping alot, but they could be helping alot more instead of spending perhaps 30% of the money building churches and spreading out christianity.

Also the US could STILL be helping alot more.
The US is probably the richest country in the world, and they have alot more money to give out to the poors.
For example the country that I live in is also in the top 5 most wealthiest countries in the world, but not many people are donating money to the red cross, due to the fact that they use alot of that money making speeches about christianity and build churches and such things as written above.

But noone is really helping those people in the amazonas, instead when they are found chopping down trees, they will get prisoned for a long time, instead of being helped.

Regarding the oil on other planets, I really didnt notice the word "planet".

Well the only way we can have advantage of oil on other planets would be to fully move there.
I dont think it is possible to transferre oil from other planets to earth, and not to mention how to find the oil on other planets, when be barely know if there is more on our own planet.

Transporting oil from another planet is something that perhaps can take place in 4000 years or so, if not way beyond.

omfg, it hasn't happened before? look back in history m8, ice ages?
thats the effect of global warming. water rises, and freezes over. somthing like that, theres way more detail and explanations but i dont kno all the facts on this topic.

Global warming is NOT caused by the human evolution in anyway. The only thing we are doing is speeding up the progress. I will bet my whole runescape fortune to you that no real scientist have ever said that. You have either taken it out of context or understud it on a a way that your not suposed to understand it.

Oil is the biggest reason for the co2 in the atmosphere, all of the other reasons are nothing compard to oil.

Global warming IS 100% natural and has always bin taking place on this planet. If you have finished school you would know that.
No scientist have ever said that global warming is caused by humans, who ever has cannot be called a scientist anymore.

Yeh thats one of the prooves for it has taken place before. The Ice ages and the Meltdowns, have you never heard of that?

Where I live there used to be 6km of ice on top of it, now snow is not something thats commen here, but it will be again at some point.
