THE MASSIVE MINT CAKE BUYOUT!
TONS OF PEOPLE AT RSBOTS.NET ARE DOING THIS.
Please reply if you view this, it only takes 5-15 seconds!

Wikepedia:

Quote
Mint cake is a food item that, when eaten, will restore a player's run energy to 100%. Mint cakes restore more energy per consumption than any other item. However, although super energy potions only restore 40% energy per consumption, up to four doses of super energy potion can be fit into one vial, giving a super energy potion (4) 160% of run energy restoration versus the 100% of a mint cake.
A mint cake can be obtained as a possible reward from the Gnome Restaurant minigame and can also be obtained by exchanging Tangled Toad Legs with Longramble during or after The Path of Glouphrie quest. This exchange can only be made once.
Up until recently, Mint cakes were virtually never used for run energy restoration generally due to the difficulty in obtaining them, but as of 1 Feb 2010, the chance of getting a mint cake reward from the Gnome Restaurant minigame has been increased considerably and they are now received in amounts ranging from 8-10 rather than individually. Still, they are being bought for 300k-1m from people hoping that mints will still rise to a high price.

Many players have begun taking mint cakes as currency over and above standard coins thus making certain items difficult to achieve, even with the required coins.

REASONS:
A. Mints still require spending time and effort doing an unbottable, lame, boring, otherwise time wasting minigame, not fishing, not cooking.
B. While you get 8-10, the chance of getting a mint is still rare.
C. Because of the still held up artificial "street value" Mints remain hard to obtain.
D. Mints are extremely easy to buy out
E. Commonly used to BUY/TRADE otherwise unbuyable rares.
F. Mints are vital to our economy, and therefore must remain.

All we need to do as a botting community is:
Put however much botted money that you feel comfortable with putting aside towards this. Whether it be 100 mints, 200 mints, 1000 mints, we will easily remove them from the RS economy, placing them comfortably into our own pockets. 100 mints only costs ~4m, that is bottable within a few hours.

Reality:
Worst case scenario, something goes horribly wrong. Mints could crash, they would be worth the same as normal food, and we could all lose millions.
Best case scenario, The entirety of W2 merchers decides; "hmm I want to keep merching, what to use? Oh I remember... Mints" and they get fought/struggled over for weeks/months. We hold them all, we reap the benefits of inflation, stupidity, laziness, and merchanting in itself. The outcome would be our ability to buy rares off the economy as we see fit.. AND, if we feel the need to do so, create a form of rs ELITE, drop all the rares but 1 set? something drastic like that. Its all in our hands if we work as one.

Final word:
I've played rs since 2003, I have a lot of experience with the RS economy and I've watched it change SO MUCH over the years. Every single time I've ever made a large financial decision in this game, and stuck to it, its worked! Everytime I've had that feeling and ignored it, I've lost MILLIONS!... That feeling is taking me over and my whole stomach is tumbling.. Please RSBOTS community, work together here!
