Give the CDT leader the ability to give away miniranks

Mostly every time I've messaged an admin when I've needed something that only they can do they've always helped me out instantly, have you guys tried messaging them on discord and telling them about it? I'm not trying to back up the admins here but I'm just saying what I've personally seen. There might be 1 that is lazy and doesn't do much when they're supposed too, doesn't mean the rest should be criticized.

 

Yes I talk to them frequently, the specific case in question I personally had nothing to do with, but I do have the perms to see the repeated requests to multiple admins. In that same time I have talked to admins yes no doubt about that however in a suggestion that I just made last week multiple staff members said all the community had to do was tag them and things would be taken care of. However we tried this and nothing worked. We tag staff nothing happens the week after we are told to just tag them. It's like fighting with a tree. If your going to say that you do stuff "behind the scenes" they should actually do those things and not just sit on their dicks like usual.....

 

Support. Why wait when you can hand them fast?

 

I would of thought @Sythe would give other admins ability to do this, Matt did say it's up to Rich to allow others. Smh.

 

You have to understand that in reality admins shouldn't be doing work only when called upon, not saying this is what the current staff does but that's not the most efficient way of getting things done. All staff know their regional roles so they shouldn't need to be specifically asked to fulfill a role.

It's unfortunately not that easy, this stuff can be abused and it's honestly annoying to deal with. Community members are very trigger happy in claiming corruption when admins do pretty much anything so Matthew and Richard keep these abilities to a minimum to get rid of the headache.

 

Outside of the hassle presented by Dave, I too think it should be limited due to the headache presented. This limitation should be kept to admins imo; however, I would not opposed to a community admin (is this still a thing?) that would specifically handle functions such as this.

This may still be the case (not double-checking it), but there use to be a somewhat strong differentiation among admin positions. Mainly certain admins were known as the community admins while others focused heavier on the tech issues.

Also, it is worth noting the current admin team is really busy. I know real life isn't a wonderful excuse people like to hear, but some admins have a lot going on.
