Give away Scammer's and Vader's Sythe assets.

I voted yes but I also feel like there should be a way for people who repay their victims to receive them back.

 

No support as others have said when said user decided he wants to right his wrongs and come back he should still be able to come back in the general place he left off at.

 

Factory basically summed it up for me, sometimes people screw up. When you go to jail for committing a simple crime, they don't give away your house/assests

 

Anything to enforce a no tolerance policy towards scamming.

 

This works as a minirank sink to avoid them crashing

 

i think you should repost just the "give away banned users' miniranks as collateral" part of this as a new suggestion. require that minirank transfer requests be placed a minimum of two weeks after the original ban to avoid cases where miniranks are transferred and then the original owner is unbanned. but otherwise i think we should formalize this process, which is in keeping with our recent activity (e.g., the "post here if you were scammed so we can try to get you a refund" thread)

 

If someone scams you and they have miniranks, you can already ask for them if they are able to be traded. That being said I don't support this suggestion at all for the simple fact that I'm DNT, and have never ban evaded or scammed anyone. I was banned for trolling the staff basically. Why would my $1,000 donor rank, along with my retired global mod rank, and my miniranks that no one else on the site has except for me be taken away if i'm planning on pardoning eventually? If i'm DNT and my ranks don't get returned when I pardon then what reason would I have to pardon the DNT?

 

Fun ranks are never given to those who don't deserve them.
Also, there is always a chance that a scammer will pay back and may be given a pardon.

 

I already addressed these. Of course, ranks like donor and competition winner shouldnt be taken away... And untradeable minis like Tons of Damage arent given away either...

I menant silly ranks like Mudkip. However, I already made the edit stating I no longer believe any funranks should be given away.

 

So why would ranks that can be traded be given away to random people, and how would it be decided who gets the ranks? What about people who have been banned in the past and have pardoned (some of which have voted yes) would their ranks also be taken away? What if they have sold some of their ranks that are able to be traded beforehand, how would that be handled?

 

They aren't given to be random people. They are given to the scam victim. This only occurs when someone is scammed or the banned person was an evader. So in your case, nothing would happen to your assets.

Yes, I believe that the loss of all tradeable miniranks should be included in the punishment of a ban. To help prevent people who can be immediately unbanned, there will be a 2 week grace period before the victims can apply to receive the banned user's assets (as suggested by @Superfluous )

If they sell some minis before they are banned, then they are no longer in possession in them and nothing can be done.

 

You can already request the miniranks of the person who scammed you if they have any.

 

Even those ''silly'' ranks are given to those who deserve them.
This suggestion makes no sense and would only cause chaos.

Miniranks would be harmless.

 

At this point you guys just aren't reading. It's already been stated that all earned assets will NOT be removed. This includes ALL funranks and any untradeable minis.

 

This isnt going to happen

 

If a scammer gets unbanned and loses all their miniranks they have nobody to blame but themselves. Even if they refund the victim, they never should have scammed in the first place.

Support, and ban evader gold/miniranks should go to the person who filed the report.

 

I support, even if a scammer decides to come back, the loss of their Sythe Gold/Mini-ranks is the consequence they must pay regardless of returning or not.

A scam is a scam, don't support fun ranks transferring over though.

 

I support this, even though most scenarios you wont be able to compensate somebody for there loss when they get scammed, atleast this would be a start to make a victim feel better. Im sure alot of us here have been scammed at one point? Wouldn't you like to atleast get something back in return (providing the user does have mini ranks)
