I'd go with flowers + a dinner date then a little something if you can afford it though.

 

Take a brick, and paint it with stuff like i love you, etc etc draw hearts on it etc, and on the inside of the hole put something like a cheap little ring or something in it, even a card, and a rose, then gift wrap it all inside the hole, then gift wrap the brick, and when she opens it up, tell her you couldn't afford anything so you made her the brick, after she reads it and falls in love with it, tell her theres something extra inside, have her dig out the rose or ring w/e and get laid that night.
