my grandma passed away

my grandma passed away in my house from cancer she was only 68 years old and has many freinds when she died i got no comfort from anyone in my school they never said a thing like "im sorry" but then a freind of mines grandpa passes away and then the entire school is saying stuff like "its ok", "sorry for you loss" and stuff like that. and then a teacher gathers all of my class together exept my freind and we discuss what to do to confort him after his loss. so we deside to buy him a crap load of jerky. its so much it takes over a month to eat... i want to know why his grandpa that no one knew was morned got more attention then my grandma that was freinds with about everyone???

I agree that it's a bit backwards, but the other kid may have just been the type of person that cries for attention and begs for people to care and acknowledge his hardships.
Truth be told, if I had a family member that passed away, I wouldn't want anybody knowing about it, yet alone telling me that they're sorry about my "loss". It'd break me down that much more.

Try to understand that maybe it's best for people to not feel sorry for you. As heartless alone as that may sound...

Yeah, it's a tragedy, I won't deny that.
But shouldn't you be more focused on standing strong instead of dwelling on something as little as this?

also pounder.. i dont beg or cry for ppls pity.. i dont need ppl to acknowledge me and most likely nvr will. simply putting that hes not the person whos had it rough.. not meh, but other ppl who have had maybe there entire family murdered or something of sorts? or something like a worst case scenario. but saying that its "something as little as this"? something like this causes extreme emotional pain .. i wouldnt kno cuz i nvr knew my grandma so yah.

Very sorry for you. My grandpa died 2 years ago from a heart attack. It's really hard to deal with and no one should have to.
