    I noticed that after I upgraded to Windows 10 I've been getting much lower fps in games than I should for my PC specs (i7, gtx 1070, 16gb ram) so I did some research and found a fix.

    If you're having the same problem you can fix it by turning off "Xbox DVR" through the registry editor. Xbox DVR has been reported to cause fps capping, low framerate, and other issues even if you don't use the Xbox app or sign into Windows 10 with an Xbox account.

    My FPS before and after disabling XBOX DVR:
    League of Legends ~200 -> 400-600
    Counter-Strike: Global Offensive ~180-230 -> 300-600

    Honestly I didn't notice the problem for months since I mainly play csgo and league (they still ran smooth, just with significantly lower fps) until I started playing more demanding games which I would run at 30-50 fps :eek:

    Fantastic guide, Killswitch!

    Before following the seven simple steps, Fraps was reporting an average of around 10 FPS when playing Battletoads. I tried everything before finding your guide, however the issue persisted.

    Now, Fraps is reporting an average of 14 FPS! I can't believe my eyes!

    Thanks again,

    Dill.
