We are keen to keep our players in-game and playing where at all possible, as such we review all offences with great care. Please don’t think that we reached this decision lightly , the last thing we would ever want to do is lose a customer but in this situation we felt we had no alternative as your son was caught using a macro program and damaging the game play experience of many others.



Having now investigated the offence for the third time we are certain that the actions we took were the correct decision. In summary we are confident that your son was in control of the account at the time of the offence and that a macro offence was committed.



We are never happy to lose a customer however we felt we had no choice in this situation. I appreciate your son’s frustration about the ban occurring and I am genuinely sorry, nobody seems to win in these situations and we wish we had a better alternative.



If after reading our Terms & Conditions you still wish to pursue legal action, please inform your legal representative of the Terms and Conditions, as they will need to be made fully aware of their contents.

Your son is of course more than welcome to create a new account with which to continue his RuneScape adventure and start with a clean slate. Hello, I am writing to you as the father of my son, Julian II

(ss4ju2). He brought to my attention that his account was hacked a

short time ago last September, and he was unable to recover it. I've

be trying fervently the last couple months to get it back for him, as

he's been diagnosed with psychotic depression, and it drastically

affects his life. Yesterday we sent in an appeal and by some miracle

we recovered the account after almost a year of never being on it.The

offence states my son "macroned" back in January, which is improbable

as he has not been on the account since it was stolen from him in

September, he marked the date. He has nothing to do apart from play

Runescape, for hours on end, it doesn't affect school results, so I

allow it. He made new accounts but he says its not like the original.

I know little about computers but theres is something called an ip

check, could you use that, please he didn't even sleep last night in

hopes that he would be able to play again. If there is legal action I

can take, I will, I will contact my lawyer tomorrow morning to see if

there is anything else I can do.





I hope you will read this, realise your mistake, and release the ban

on my sons account. He has dedicated 4 years to this game and over

$300 dollars in membership fees. Please Jagex be kind and release this

ban or give Julian a second appeal.
