I can't believe people haven't figured it out yet. When everybody and their grandmother has a botnet, how do you people keep expecting your new server to work without protection? It can't. There have been countless servers opened this summer and each one has made the same mistake. They ddos each other or some random noob who didn't get the admin help he wanted ddos's the server, and it's finished. Some of you should consider merges that will put your money together and allow you to buy protection, because without it you just aren't going to last. It's this simple: If you have absolutely no protection against ddos'ing or any way of dealing with it other then just letting your server go offline, then don't start a server and stop wasting everyone's time. I also advise people to know what kind of protection they have before donating, because it is highly unlikely that no matter how hard they try to convince you, they won't get protection though donations alone and then not only will you have wasted your time, but your money as well. I just had to get that off my chest. Thank you.

I have stated this same thing a few times and I agree people who run servers are being very ignorant by not getting protection for there server if they want to actually run a decent one. Hell when a 7 year old knows how to ddos it obviously means you need to get some protection. lol
