Get LTC while you can... trust me.

My exact quote is that it's not going anywhere for a while. That said, seeing that it is down about 30% from peak and seemingly slowing its descent downward, I will likely be rebuying tonight or tomorrow. I had some success with ripple today and there will likely be a better coin to buy but I don't know what it is. I think LTC>BTC though

Anyone coming to our website asking to pay or be paid in BTC, I am telling them to use LTC instead. Not because I am emotionally invested in the coin, but because it's just such a better payment system right now. Fees + confirm times remind me of Bitcoin in 2015.

Litecoin can also use Lightning Network, so it will boost its value as well.

 

So is everyone going to ignore the fact that Charlie sold all his LTC due to "conflict of interest?" Do you see Vitalik selling his entire holding of ETH? Or Tim Cook's entire Apple stock? Bill Gates perhaps?

And please remind me of what innovation LTC brings to Blockchain again? Faster transactions..? Haha.

Although i have a large stake in btc, I do appreciate the price drop as now I feel more comfortable investing in other coins.

Charlie has yet to reveal his "unexpected surprise for 2018". He is said to release info in Q1-18 ... When asked to rate this anouncement, Xinxi states" 1000000000000000" (obviously this shows excitement since people rate on a scale of 1-10), and Xinxi (founder of Coinut and Founding Member of the Litecoin foundation), is known for being pretty rational guy and has a PhD in Computer Science. Most people in the LTC are skeptical, but I think that this is an example of good news for essentially the most undervalued coin in the top #10 in market cap. Today's price is a good price point. I picked up some more today too

Also, just to let you know, Charlie Lee has donated MILLIONS into the development of Litecoin and is the main funder of the project, and what i LOVE about what he did with selling off MOST of his LTC position is that it solves some of the major problems in the industry...

Anyone can create a coin, ICO, Token, at any moment. Usually, the founder holds a significant portion of the said coin and has ensentive to make its price increase or decrease when they want it to (Announcements, Hyping, marketing and timing, etc). Basically, Charlie Lee noticed this and so did others, and some people accused him of hyping the price of his own coin to make money, and sometimes "shorting" it through twitter (the reason people thought this is because Charlie is VERY cut throat and honest about LTC and the crypto market, and some people in the LTC community hate how he even uses twitter since some of the things he says is taken the wrong way or harshly). Charlie selling is the first time a Major developer in a company sold his "stock" in a company but will still work on it to make it grow. He also said he will leave after we reach new ATH since he believes that crypto's strength is decentralization, and no crypto should rely on its founder in order to succeed. This is why I believe Vitalik is in some ways Negative to ETH since there are a lot of people who don't know a single other name on the ETH team and look up to him as some sort of demi-god, but hey, idolatry is pretty normal in our society.

 

Appreciate the lengthy reply! Yeah.. I'm definitely looking to set up some sort of portfolio this year (spent 2017 swing trading). LTC will hopefully make up a decent portion of that.

Ok, now name 5 LTC devs that contribute to code or improvement protocols. I'll be waiting. If you think Vitalik is a one man show for Ethereum, you should do some research.

 

The average person invested in ETH has no idea who any of those people are except for maybe Dr. Gavin Wood and Joseph Poon. Notice how the post you quoted I said " ... there are a lot of people who don't know a single other name on the ETH team and look at him as some form of demi-god".

You stating that you know more ETH devs doesn't disprove my point that most (probably 80%) of the people invested in Ethereum have no idea who any of the other devs are or what they do for the team. I have seen this first hand many many times so trust me.

Never once did I say that I think ETH is a one man show for Vitalik, I simply said that most investors think this or at the very least don't know/care about other developers, So I don't see the need for the attitude.

You would be a fool to think that Vitalik isn't looked up to as the main central figure of ETH, and I believe nearly everyone would agree with my on that point. I mean just look at Poon's and Wood's twitter and media presence vs vitalik who is basically considered a Genius Jesus to the crypto space. If Vitalik left ETH tomorrow its holders would most likely panic sell which just shows the lack of true decentralization in the community.

 

You sure said a lot for not having an answer to my question. And no, ETH is much bigger than just Vitalik now. I don't disagree that he's a prominent member of the community... He is the (co)founder after all. Sure, markets would initially overreact like they always do when 99% of people are emotionally investing in the space, but it would survive without a doubt.
