NO ONE GIVES A FUCKING SHIT ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THEIR FAVOURITE MUSIC GENRE

People PURPOSELY look for threads involving a genre they hate, and flame there saying "oh so and so genre sucks ass i cant stand how u listen to dem."

Everyone likes a genre for a god damn reason, not because everyone else likes/dislikes it.
I could say a dozen things to rip off each genre, but in turn, anyone else can say things about the genres I like.

Onto my next bitch:

STOP SAYING CERTAIN GENRES REQUIRE "NO TALENT"

I'll admit that some require less than others, but unless you can fucking get signed for a recording label, shut the fuck up!
Stop posting threads dissing other genres just because you think yours is the best.

There is no right or wrong genre.

IE. People say metal doesn't need any talent at all.
It has been proven that screaming is one of the hardest singing techniques ever.
Try playing that fast on drums/guitar and see how long you last, let alone sounding good.

I am not trying to be an asshole by posting this. I am trying to stop the Tunes Analysis forum from become an all-hell flamefest.

Thats not true, a lot of good bands avoid labels because they have certain ethics, its called DIY. I can think of tons of bands that release their own shit without a label.

since when was it proven that "screaming" is the hardest singing technique ever? i dont know where you heard this, i havent seen it headlining on CNN anytime lately. I listen to alot of music that has "screaming", but im not ignorant enough to say that its a hard technique to gain ahold of.

Also, i find it funny that you direct the "fast drumming/guitar" to metal, because there is more than one genre that requires speed and endurance.

Firstly, yes I am the jerk that said you can't handle logic. And I stick by it.
Secondly, I don't see much about music headlining on CNN, unless it's something contreversial.
Now, if you don't think screaming is a hard technique to gain hold of, please record and album, with you screaming all the way through fluently.
And as for your statement about the drums/guitar, I was stating a point about metal. Hence my example above it.

I have recorded an album, 2 in fact. i've put out a s/t cd in 2005 with my band (sorry no screaming, i play bass), costed us 3000 dollars for a week of recording. just before we broke up awhile ago we released a 7" , so if you were serious in your statement telling me to record, if you can supply the large quantity of money needed, and a legitimate reason as to why i should dedicate a week or so of my time to contributing to an album with me screaming for it, than i can certainly get ahold of an old friend from echo base recording studio and get on it. I will call it "i love giant x9 cock up my ass", im sure you will like that?

If you were stating a point, doesnt that simply cancel out your whole message of this thread? to me, i thought you were kindly trying to let everyone know that genres shouldnt cause havoc, because there IS no best, and to state something stereo-typical or elitist (so to speak), would just mean your a douche bag, or in a case of two or more people, an "all-hell flame fest" in your words.

And, I still don't see why you cannot just go to a store, buy a microphone and record you solo screaming a whole song in Sound Recorder? It's becoming apparent that you CAN'T scream, and are trying to make me sound like a douche by saying "u cant do it, ur lieing".

130 dollars is a ridiculously good price, here in calgary its 400 for a session from 12-7. No, im not going to record myself screaming with a home mechanism, lol, you've seriously gone off point.
If i was to sell an album, i wouldnt be doing it for the profit whatsoever, so no matter.
