Generally this guy has a good point.

Why not just TWC/DNT someone till they paid the amount back and giving them a deadline of x amount of days?

 

Scammers getting privileges now! 24 hours seems fine to me. If they can't get to the pc then its no ones fault but their own, 24 hours is more that enough.

 

If they repay after 24 hours they'll get unbanned. So no.... this guy doesn't have a point.

Also, if you read what the OP stated on the RAS thread, it's already been a week.

Mods have longer because other mods have to look into the situation, sometimes it takes longer than a day to find out what they need, if a report is valid it takes a minute for a mod to actually go to RAS and find a resolution I would like @Champ @Wortel @Killswitch to all respond to this if they would, I think they handle the most things as of now from my experience. As for the certain days due to irl, ok? So pay when you come back, it doesn't mean you can't be unbanned, the message is stating that you will be banned if you don't refund by then. As for other people, sometimes a report with someone who is more trusted is granted more time, usually a larger traded AND they have vouches, meaning they are a lot more likely to pay back if you give them some more time. 3 days doesn't really matter, leave it at 1. Sythe isn't a government it is a website on the world wide web, no one here has to adhere to many of the normal laws in the world. And who cares if they can't be on in the 24hr time frame players can always speak to mods, which would quash the negative effect of not paying(Ban).

Read the imgur that the victim posted. He lost control over the account on March 25th, that is just under 2 weeks from the report. He has said the exact same things over and over, "let me talk to the other guy", it doesn't take two weeks to ask simple questions. If you have to ask any of these questions to "your other guy" its not a good sign.

Comparing his report to Video's isn't really fair as there was MUCH more than just the surface of the report. I can absolutely promise you that, though it still was handled slow.

 

I don't support this suggestion at all.

• RAS would be flooded / spammed with reports that are handled when they could be handled in a timely manner.

- Not much of a difference, if there not active in 24 hours, they're probably not going to respond in 2 to 3 days. I've handled many times where the user was away / inactive, came back gave us a reason, paid his debts and the situation was resolved. Whether or not you limit the time, it's still the same result.

- Most cases are situational meaning there is a lot of factors that go into a report. The one @Void handled, the report was completely valid in the time frame. Some reports can drag out weeks due to lack of communication / time zones / amount of stuff that is in the report. Most of the time, as long as the OP and the one whom is being reported are communicating with us, we usually workout a time frame / time for a payment / value to be refunded to the OP.
