Did you play Gears 1? Imagine that, only probably 3x better. By FAR the best shooting game on the market ATM for the 360. Especially if you have live. The *only* drawback is it's not a very good "social" or "party" game because it only supports two players per console. I would have no problem paying 100 bucks for this game, because I will be playing it MUCH more than I'll play any other game I own. I suck at it, but it's still a SHITLOAD of fun. And by suck, I mean I'm not pro.

I kinda liked CoD4, and World at War is pretty cool too (I like the plotline), but the gameplay is almost identical

Yes totally. It is the best action game of 07/08 in my opinion, CoD 5 was exactly the same as CoD 4, in fact CoD 4 has more players which is amusing. Gears 2 is also a really nice change, playing in a 3rd person tactical is different and quite enjoyable.

And Matthew, you messed up in your comment to lagbot. Its the best 3PS, not FPS , but it is one of the best combat games, and Matthew is right it owns.

 

Holy tits, this is truly an amazing guide! I wasn't quite convinced you wrote it though, so I searched for about half an hour, and didn't find anything good enough that you could of ripped. I personally love it, and it made me want to get GoW2 and play it. It's very detailed, and well laid out. Great work, my hats off to you. 10/10

 

Nice guide. Im hoping to get Gear of War 2 soon. I've played the first one and it was awesome. Once I get it and Im having trouble this is where Ill go instead of buying 20$ guide book.

Don't buy the guide book; my friend bought it and its basically useless. It just gives you a campaign guide which is already quite obvious, gears has too much action for subtlety.

If you like Halo 3, or Call of Duty, you will like Gears 2. Fable 2 was good, but I thought the campaign was short if you decided to play right through it (5-6 hours). I haven't met many people who haven't like Gears after playing it; it is much more strategic than regular shooters, and I like it. The third-person view of the game also makes it more like an RPG shooter, involving strategy as well as skills. It is now my tied for my favorite game. I'd give it a 9.8 out of 10 actually, there's some annoying glitches on multiplayer (all minor though). They won't dampen your love of the game, but they knock .2 off my score Hope you guys love it!

Quite and exciting piece you have, I think you did a very nice job on detail, and covered all of the basics while including some more advanced things. You're layout of the guide is very nice too. Although, the text on the pictures is a little odd... they suite their purpose well. I got GoW2 a couple days ago and all I can use is the Sniper, lol. Anyway... Amazing job, and can't wait to read more. 9/10

Awesome guide, as usual!

The longshot is used in Clan Matches, as it is usually a show of skill. The Torque Bow can FINALLY perform Headshots, meaning that if it goes through their head, it can stick to someone behind them!

You should add a slight section on Longshots, and "blindfiring / popshotting", as this will dramatically increase your still, as it helps with your Shotgun as you will probably be popshotting (LT followed by an extremelly fast RT).
