I'll play in a chess tournament if its held. What site would you host it on? And is there a time control?

Castling: remove the piece inbetween king and rook from their starting position, and then move the king 2 squares over, and place the rook on the other side of the king. The king and rook can't have moved to be able to castle, and you can't castle if you're in check or if the king passes over a square that's attacked.

I've always enjoyed turn based/real world time strategy games. So I'd love to participate.

I think there's a chess game on funorb (a jagex site), its easier for sythe users to use that as they normally already have runescape accounts that they can use on funorb. I would again like to clarify that the next competition's game has already been determined, and it is not chess, but we can run a chess tourney later on.

Oh sorry I must have misread.

The problem with funorb is that it doesn't apply a lot of chess rules (example: draw by threefold repitition)

Maybe so, but if it just plays to the basic rules it means more members can play, at least without researching all these other rules beforehand :p

The rules I'm referring to prevent the game from going on and on and on for 500 moves :p

I just saw the other threads, will try and get involved in this month's game.

Oh well I guess that makes a bit of sense. But I mean I don't know the more advanced rules personally, just the basic idea. I think it'd be the same for most members :p

    Inb4 lock.

It may of been the game chosen. The most popular ones such as chess and connect 4 had people overflowing. While the one with patterns (can't remember the name) was annoying to play and become great at :s.

Like Cosrob said simple games always work best, so if we do something along the lines of Chess I reckon we'll be fine :)
