Surprisingly this wasn't done out of spite, but pure curiosity. It was something with the name that I didn't like.

 

I created an account on HackForums and pmed a staff member on the site requesting the IP of that user but he would not give it to me.

Unless someone can get more details, its hard to request a ban by just similar names.
