Some kid tried to act "ganster" with a bunch of his mates to me. I dropped him (as in tackle, trip etc.), and his mates ran off. Yes ... Real gangster.

To the point, there are several biker gangs in Brisbane such as the Banditos etc. That are not all black. They are the typical gangster. Heck, they have open gang wars (such as when one gnag torched the others hideout). You just gotta hope you're not unlucky enough to be in the middle of one.

 

If they are in a gang. They are gangsters. An elementary school kid can figure this out. If more African Americans are in gangs then they are viewed as gangsters.

Because we are in the millenium now, Most people refer gangsters now as black people because of Rap/Hip-Hop and movies.. There are still some white people that are referred as gangsters "Al Capone", etc..

 

First off, The mafia has a Sort of Law. I believe it is called the mafia 10 commandments or something of the sort. Mess with them they will mess with you. But "Gangsters" these days will just shoot people for "street cred" or whatever the fuck they do it for.

I don't usually have a problem with "Gangsters" or people who act tough but the Abbo's that reckon they are tough can go back to their caves. Recently on christmas day a mob of 40+ bashed an elderly man on the beach infront of all his family, children, grandchildren and everyone on the beach. That makes me sick, THEY KILLED HIM. I'll give you a solution for your question, black people who wear baggy clothes and that grew up in the hood or detriot or something are a different kind of gangster than you are thinking of. Buisness people in the 20's that were considered gangsters are a different type of what we see as a gangster now. Theres your solution if that makes any sence, it did to me.

 

To me the term "gangster" is more of an insult now.

I mean the original "gangsters" were smart men who just lived an impoverished life making them "tough".These good men made money exploiting the needs of the people, but not ruin the people they make money from.Case and point way back when, "Mafiosi" as the Italian mafia people were called didn't sell drugs. They became the government when there wasn't one.They were respected for what they did to help and also feared for what they can do.There were some like this like many of the Mexican gangs in L.A., they started out as block gangs protecting their neighborhood from dope dealers and other people who would hurt their neighborhood.

The new "gangsters" are typically men many of which are minorities and live on impoverished sections.Living in such a condition they found drugs. And some of these "smart" guys saw the profit and made their money through drug dealing.Many "gangsters" of today are just foot soldiers, if you think about it they ain't worth shit compared to guys back then (Unless you're a norteno ).

In short, gangsters back then( and some of recent like the men from Harlem ) was for sophisticated men who exploited in a way that doesn't hurt a lot of their business.Gangsters now are money and power hungry people that are disillusioned that the way to glory is through murder and dope dealing.They kill for fun,they don't (most) think about what they are doing and most aren't smart.
