    Gamepad only works after reconnecting

Basically I'm having an issue with my gamepad which I use for playing Rocket League. The gamepad is from Trust and is called GTX540. It's in my front USB ports at all times though when I want to play Rocket League I must plug re-plug the gamepad in order for it to work. Sometimes this doesn't work at all; it works for 3 seconds and after that the lights are still on but it just stops working. The USB port might be a little bit messy (when I move the USB part it reconnects) but it works for sure. My solution to get it to work still is reboot my PC and reconnect the gamepad. Rebooting sucks though, so I'm wondering if any of you smart people can help here. Please go away if you're going to suggest me obvious solutions. I'll try plugging it in the back of my PC asap.

See if the front usb has issues with usb flash drives too if it works fine in the back USB ports. If it does it may be busted or the cable from the front usb to the motherboard could be busted or just loose.
