Game look and feel [Contains high level gameplay concept art]

Are you planning on keeping the game third person 2D or more
of a 3D third person like world of warcraft?

 

I have been always dreaming . If we can make a game like World of Warcraft in graphic and Runescape in the idea of playing . The game will blow up. So I think it should be 3D.

 

Maybe move the chat logs on the right, and make the armor colors different, and of course, the inventory maybe make it just like that, then the map. I think it would be better if it will have somewhat like this (If there's no mana/MP, forgive me):

 

The concept art looks great, but will the game have a shaded feel, and will the surroundings be more realistic than RuneScape?

 

Agreed, a third person to first person interface would be a great addon.
Most mmorpgs and rpgs are third person, probably for easier mobility
and sight.

 

I like the graphics The Way they are. although 3d would be great.

 

I agree Sythe, there is a line between when a game looks good but then looks too good, I think if the art turns out be as good or even better then the current Runescape "HD" it will be a great result.

 

Perhaps try to move beyond the 'norm' MMORPG by adding armor that civilizations used during ancient times and by adding gameplay that can represent the life of an average soldier. This might give an interesting concept and gameplay which can attract for more users.

 

Yeah like a backdrop storyline that follows along and can just give you a nice story to back up your adventures, say that you are a ranger, your story would be of how you grew up hunting with your parents and then got involved in something

 

No matter how much you try to keep the MMORPG off of rs2, you have to add an yo-yo + toy horsey.

 

Perhaps doing something like fable were you choose your own path, were you can back stab people in quest and perhaps become evil or good, each getting diferent armor types/classes, Although I am not suggesting making the game evil vs good, as I feel a compeltely free pvp with everyone vs everyone is awesome. I am suggesting this soley for the quest aspect of the game.

Evil is only perceived through the view of the on who thinks of themselves as good. The opposite considers otherwise.

Nevertheless why not make a home city for each race/civilization. Where their own race can themselves.

I believe 3rd person should be default but 1st and 2nd should be actionable and changeable upon login.

I was thinking sort of like that, but with better shaders and different detailing.

edit: Oh wow Sythe, a GUI like that would be pretty neat.

What about chatting / a friends feature?

 

i like the 1rst person concept, but i think we need to keep it mainly level based not personal skill at the game based.
