Gambling ~ Staking

No offence to anyone, maybe Im putting my foot in my mouth here but since when does the sythe community care about both gambling and RWT? I mean maybe I am picking up on something that isn't there but it seems a few members are stating these sorts of things as if we look down upon its practice here, and If we do then I have missed alot in the past few months, LOL. I think it's a good idea tbh, it gives people a chance to get gold for far cheaper than they could just straight up buying it, it also ads a little risk to your real life which is always fun, especially since in most places you need to be 21 and alot of sythe goers aren't. It just needs to be finetuned but thats why he posted I assume, LOL.

As for the topic, I think you should hold off on setting prices now just because its still a mystery as to what the IRL price of gold will be per mil, so until that has stabalized trying to set the numbers up now is wasted time tbh. besides that I think it sounds great, only one problem though. Are you going to have multiple accounts at different level ranges for people to challenge? I think you should at least start a few builds for different levels, even if you can't finish them before the update, you still need to have them planned for introduction into this service, as your customer base will be greatly hindered if you only have one account at one combat level with one setup.

Besides that sounds like a great idea, hope you can get it up and running, I might even try you at staking myself, LOL.

 

Sheymyster you are right about the prices, the one I'm proposing is just to give an idea of what it's about. It's easier to understand something with exemples than long descriptions.

I would also like to point out that the service's objective is too give a better advantage at making runescape money while staking, not staking actual money. I wouldn't like to see someone buy gold just so they can stake it with me, I want to see stakers, money-makers, rich nerds etc.

Why would any decent staker pay you for them to win? When they could just go win the same amount for free.. logic fail.

 

They aren't paying me to win they are paying for a staked balanced in their favor.

 

i agree with this... in the end (assuming mills are $1/M) i would be staking 40m to your 50m...it is really not that substantial of an advantage...

But if they are a good enough staker then surely they will not need that and could simply win what you are offering for free of someone else. I used to stake a lot and there is no way I would pay you to stake even if it was in my favour, why not just buy money if your going to do that? Who would pay $15 dollars to possibely lose? You would be better of just spending the money on gold. What a stupid idea.

 

I'm not offering a service to people who don't need it like successfull stakers.

They could pay you and you could win and take their money

 

I would not buy it.

My reasoning: Why would I spend my money on a staking advantage, when I could use that to buy 100% guaranteed gold? The cocky and over-confident people may try their lucks, but most of them would probably become furious at their loss and never buy again. Also, the probabilities of the service runner scamming is very high. What if he were to build trust, then get a massive amount of orders and leave them pending?

The concept is unique, but I don't see it becoming very popular.

I'm not going to lie, this is a really good idea. I like the idea, well done for thinking of it, you could be the next YouTube legend as well if you vid it, you're so baws you stake 2x what the do

 

If anything I would feel much more secure if it were a boxing match instead of dds.
