Hi guys, I am about to buy 20M RSGP to buy some stuff, but before I do, I would just like to ask about something.

I have done this before on another site, bought all my stuff, then a few days later, had my account scammed. Looking back on it now, is it possible that Jagex wiped the account because I bought IRL?

Just don't want to buy if Jagex is just going to wipe.

How long ago did the "wipe" happen? I haven't heard of any for a couple months now, but when your acc was wiped, was it just GP that was taken, or everything? Also, if you buy from sites like gold4fun, then its a bit more obvious you're RWTing.

Again, I haven't seen Jagex wipe for a few months now, so I think you're fine.

 

It happened last year (2011) in March. Just got back in RS today. Everything was taken, armour, money, everything except my untradeables. I bought from some dodgy Chinese site. I am going to buy from Busta, just don't want anything to go wrong.

 

Buy from Rsultimate, it's very safe and I've never heard of them having any issues.

 

Jagex isn't going to wipe your account over 20M, especially from a non-Chinese RWT company. It is very unlikely you got wiped from JaGeX over your previous gold purchase, but the only way to tell was to check the I.P. on the last login screen. You can feel safe when buying gold, don't worry.

 

If anything besides was taken and your account was moved from its last login spot, then it was a hack, not Jagex.

When jagex wipes you, they delete your cash and (sometimes) items, without having bank access.

Buying from busta will be fine, you shouldn't worry about being wiped.

 

There have been cases that when Jagex takes away all the gold that you have bought, I know that the major gold sellers have had bills taken away from because of their RWTing. I think you should be safe right now because there hasn't been any cases of people getting reset or having the their bank reset in a while now.

I have been so scared of buying ever since.

20M is nothing, you'll be fine. Jagex are more concerned with gold farmers at the moment anyway.
