Friend Gifted me CS:Go! :D

So my friend was nice enough to gift me cs:go cause he knew ive been wanting to play for quite some time now. Ive never played before. Anyone have any tips? Is there a way to get keys without paying for them either? Add me on steam also if you want to play together.

There is no way to get keys without paying for them, unless you somehow get miraculous drops over an extended period of time in the game. Trust me when I say this is extremely unlikely to happen.

As for tips, I'd say watch a lot of YouTube videos/tutorials and play deathmatch to work on the spray control for SMG's and Rifles. Being good with a pistol can be quite useful as well.

Listen to this guy. And yeah, there's basically no way to get keys unless you are extremely lucky. Maybe wait for the next major tournament and watch the games, you might get a decent drop there but you'd be competing with several hundreds of thousands of people.

Don't keep your crosshair on the ground.

 

well congrats! The game is pretty fun. I suggest you to play with bots first and get the hang of it. Look up good settings for the crosshair and the good stuff {etc} on google. Until then keep playing with different guns with bots and when you're ready, play competitive

 

Remember that this game is not like call of duty and you lose accuracy when you shoot whilst running. Best way to learn the game in the beginning is to queue up with good friends and have fun

 

Watch a lot of pro games and try to learn from what they do, helps out a lot.

Customise your crosshairs to your liking, it will help

 

mess around with your sensitivity, crosshair, etc and also like the above guys said, play alot of deathmatch, it will help ur aim and reaction time
