Christmas Tree Hats?

Well i barely even get on to Runescape anymore.

I noticed there's a trade able holiday type item now, and i was wondering if they will ever be worth any money. I bought one for 14m just a little bit ago off the G.E and put it in the bank. Will it increase in value?

 

I reckon they will crash severly when everyone gets enough presents and dumps them. That's what I reckon anyway

 

i think it's kinda luck, i have a christmas tree hat and i will keep it. years ago when you had the chance to get cheap p hats, now look what the prices are today, but idk if this still wors on runescape^^

 

Well in the Ge they are priced at 700k now. I believe.

 

Maybe after 5 years or so they will. At the moment they are only dropping and are 600k at the moment.

 

You bought it after they crashed from the initial release. I had 4 purples and bought a set and sold them for 45m a piece.

They wont rise. Not for a few years anyway.

 

The game will probably not be active in the time it would take to get these high priced. They're going to be a ton of these dumped into the market which means that it's going to take a lot to make them expensive again.

Wait... Didn't they say they weren't going to make tradeable holiday items anymore?

 

They did, but once they realized that making them untradeable only pissed off the players more i guess they finally went back to the old way.

There are going to be a lot more of these items then lets say party hats, BUT there's not going to be as many of these as fish masks. not to mention they've stabled out at like 13m as a street price. i'm not looking for bills, im just saying like 25 - 50m in like 3 years?

 

I would imagine that it increases at least 10% but as mentioned above it will stabilize because it doesn't serve a purpose and it won't have a nostalgic luster compared to the original holiday drop items.

@Emperor_Nero The game has increased in sales over the past 3 years according to Mod MMG in a recent Q&A.

They're worth 12-15m.

As in they became discontinued? But in the end held a stable price ATM?

 

Don't exactly look very good. Doubt they'll rise much, look at santas etc only worth 100m or so.

 

Fezzy, they will rise dramatically in the days that ensue the discontinuation.

 

Not really similar. These you have to get 5 presents i think to actually get the hat. Not to mention its only going to be here for a month, (to get the presents for the hat). where i remember fish masks being all of summer. They will stay higher then fish masks, i know that for sure. The only difference is the g.e price is way off of the street price by at least 12m on the low side.
