Free method/guide for transparent backgrounds and image sizing/cropping

I've seen a lot of requests for cropping/resizing images and making transparent backgrounds. I decided to make a short tutorial of a free method everyone can use. I hope this is helpful

Step 1: Go to www.picmonkey.com
Step 2: Choose your design:

Step 3: Set canvas color to transparent:

Step 4: Select Overlays:

Step 5: Use your own:

Step 6: Upload your picture:

Step 7: Select Eraser:

Step 8: Select Eraser Size:

Step 9: Begin and finish erasing the unwanted background:

Step 10: Go to Basic Edits:

Step 11: Select image dimensions under Crop and scale photo:

Step 12: Select your photo and apply cropping:

Save your work!

Make sure to save file as .png!

 

Great tutorial for people who do not have photoshop. So im assuming the santa hat had a white backgroind in the stock photo?

 

Not bad for people wanting a quick edit done without havint photoshop. Good share!

Perhaps I should've used a more noticeable background color.

 

Gr8 guide, u could do the same in photoshop within 3 seconds but if u don't have it that's great way to make transparents
