Free membership 14 days?

I just created an account, i went on my email instead of the confirm account etc, it said free 14 day membership? logged on - free p2p for 2 weeks.. incredibly outrageous or good?

i created an acc today aswell and i got 14 days of free membership too

WoW also gives like 10 days of free play time i think or its free up to lvl 20 not too shure

 

Next thing you know they're just going to open up the entire world, all the skills and all quests and start selling stuff like an Asian freemium MMO.

I think they used to have a system where they would offer 7 days of free membership for new accounts so long as the person on the acc provided some payment info.

If you linked your CC to the acc, you would get the free 7 days and if you cancelled before the 7 days were up, you wouldn't be charged for the next month.

 

People need to stop complaining about every update. There is a decent chance that this will actually increase the number of people who play the game. I'm pretty sure Jagex wouldn't do it if they thought otherwise.

As said above, WoW has something similar and this will probably do nothing more than hopefully get a few additional paying subscribers. That's a good things for pretty much everyone involved (except for those getting sucked into the game).

 

I wish this was around when i joined, it would of saved me some time in getting my skills and making cash and getting some good weapons.

 

All it does is allows 14 days of hardcore P2P goldfarming before dumping the account and making a new one, tbh.

 

Doesn't this encourage botters to make lots of new accounts, goldfarm on them for 2 weeks of free membership, and then trade it over?

 

i havnt tested it but i did play with the free membership on WoW and what would happen is that like u could not trade with others until u bought real membership and all

 

This is just because they want to get new players to buy membership - typicial jagex but for us experienced players, who would buy membership anyways it's a nice gift I guess

 

Exactly what kero said. When you make a new account, it says for its disclaimer that it is F R E E 14 day membership, no payment details, no nothing.

You have two weeks to try out member courtesy of Jagex Of course there is a trade limit placed on the account but you get to enjoy all of the members experience

 

I think jagex seriously didn't think it out by doing that, even though there are like 100x more ways to transfer GP in p2p than f2p lol:laugh:
