Free graphic design programs! [for beginners]

So for all the people that wants to make graphics, but don't have programs or just want to try out graphics to see if you enjoy it.
There are 2 basic programs you can get for free!

Description: Photoshop cs2 is a very old version of Photoshop.

Gimp:http://www.gimp.org/
Description: gimp is a program similar to Photoshop but it is its own program an has different shortcuts an tools. if you never plan to take graphic design too seriously go for Gimp.


Paint.NET: http://www.getpaint.net/
Description: Imagine ms paint meets photoshop cs2. It is ms paint with more design options. (also supports transparency) this is a great alternative from ms paint.


Autodesk: http://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/all
Description: 88 different design programs! The most used/know is 3ds max (pc only) and may. they are both great 3d programs. Feel free to try out any of the other programs.

- NOTE: this is a free 3 year license. To get these programs for free you have to be in school. Click here to see if you are eligible to get these programs.

If you relay want to get in to graphics definitely get the trial of Photoshop and/or C4d, you will have it for free for 30 day's. after that if you enjoy that then just try to find a way to get it if you know what i mean

Description: photoshop cc is the newest version of Photoshop.(If you do decide to get a version after the trial look up cs6 its similar and will be easier to get)

Very nice that you included a link to CS2. I think if you fix it up (Capitals and improved layout, etc) it should be made a sticky.

yeah thanks for creating this because its hard to get photoshop now because of that new creative cloud thing, and you gave me the link straight away, and with me being cautious i only like to download things from the sites they was created on, to avoid viruses and such.
i got the hang of photoshop about 4-5 years ago but havent used it since so itll probably take a while away

 

Hey, I already had all of the programs beside from the Cinema 4D. I actually downloaded the trial earlier today before I noticed this thread. There is one thing you might be able to help me with though. When I open up my Cinema 4D, I am missing certain tabs. I am missing the Mograph tab at the top which contains the text tool that everyone uses. Why would I be missing tabs like that? If you have any idea, please let me know. Without the tabs I am missing, I can't make amazing graphic text haha.

 

i helped him out on skype. he had c4d prime instead of studio. quick fix

yeah they should all have mac downlodes. i have a mack an i have all these programs.
