You don't even have to go into safe mode for that.

Don't do a system restore. More than likely your restores are already infected.

It's most likely in your System 32, look around for Taskmgr.exe or Winupdate.exe - Things like that.

Go on hackforums.net [if this link isn't allowed, please feel free to remove it] and head over to the white hat section and ask for help if you're unable to resolve it.

ok i dont think someone is controlling your computer, so you can calm down about that. If it was a trojan that was put on your computer, it might have inbeded a few viruses, and this one might be a gag to try and annoy you. I know of a lot of joke viruses that my friend installs on peoples computers when they ask him for south park episodes in the dorms. If he dosnt like the person he installs some hidden software that runs a command to eject their disk drive every 30 seconds. Back up your things and maybe reinstall windows or w/e ur using.

Also my friends viruses are so small they are not detected by Norton or any other virus scanner. You might have a hard time if you don't install a new version of windows because you don't know how many of those little programs could be in your computer.

If I was confusing or wrong please correct me/ask questions
