This idea will probablly get SHOT down.

Weather or not they are still a OMM.

Like daily and syed who have lost their OMM ranking.

Don't you think they still DESERVE to have like Ex-OMM with a shattered (half of a D [] shield) as the PiP saying Ex-Omm

Just a thought, Completing the OMM application is a vigorous process and I would be saddened to have my accomplishment diminished due to complications if I completed it.

Well, it would be a fun rank, I guess. But Syed is re-applying, and I'm pretty sure he'll get it unless the votes are biased. Daily could probably get it too if he wanted (IDK). Not many people have achieved OMM though.

Even if they are still OMM, maybe they don't want to be bothered with being a actual OMM because like being a mod, you will be harassed, and being a admin you will be harassed more than a mod.

A OMM is harassed more than a regular MM you'd assume. So maybe some one just want's the Ex-OMM rank, whilst he isn't MMing for a short or long while.

Kind of like BEFORE plznate was OMM, he stopped MMing due to imposters being on a roll of scamming, so if he was OMM he could request a Ex-OMM rank and stop mming.

New ranks are on the DNS list, but I see no problem with this fun rank.

A OMM dosen't lose his rank unless he does something which makes him seem illegitimate.

    Look at the quote below.

You bring up a fair point. I support it then, and the rank shouldn't be too hard to make.

Wouldn't an Ex-OMM rank inform someone that they did something to lose their OMM rank?

    "In most cases"

Well I may be newer here, but the only people I have seen lose OMM is daily\syed.

If disgraced why do they get ex-mod rankings?

    Just like with TWC

It can show one of two things.

    1. They were shady or something during a trade and possibly a scammer.

or 2. They requested it, or got framed, or got hacked or some other occurrence.

    Ex-OMM shows.

They requested to be temp removed as a OMM

    or

They lost it to due a occurrence that would kind of apply at a TWC, but not exactly, like Syed sharing a VPN or w/e with 1227, and 1227's banned, so he lost the ranking due to suspicion.

    Imo Mod > OMM

    Ex-Mod > Ex-OMM

You're missing the point, guys. Dodgeball stated that this rank would be given to retired OMMs, for example, people who don't MM anymore. This way, they don't get pestered by people PMing them asking him/her to MM a trade. When they start MMing again, they may request the OMM rank again.

Oh. It could just be removed, but what ever. There is so few OMMs it doesn't really matter.

All users are allowed to offer MM services. The OMM rank is simply a symbol of the staff's trust. If, for whatever reason, an OMM loses said trust, the rank is removed. It would be counter-productive to give them an ex-OMM rank instead, since it would offer the same implications of trust, especially if shared by voluntarily retired OMM's.

Moreover, OMM's get paid for their services; it is not generally regarded as a generous contribution to the site. Hence, when mods retire (or get demoted), they sometimes get a rank to recognize the work they've done, but for OMM's, their fees are their compensation. Since most of them have dedicated MSN addresses for MM'ing, they usually only have to stop using their public MSN if they don't wish to be bothered, or else put a simple note in their MSN status or Sythe profile indicating they are no longer offering their services.

pretty much this. OMM can request for their rank to be removed temporarily if they dont want to MM, but OMM rank is perm unless you do something wrong.

Yes, I agree to some extent. However, whats the point when MM's such as Vietballer who is inactive as fuck still has his OMM rank?

If they are going to be inactive for 6 months, why do they need to retire, when they don't even need to post or have a thread?

Because he is still a recognized OMM, whether or not he is active is irrelevant.
