    Ongoing Bitcoin Malleability Attack

Basically someone is exploiting a "vulnerability" of the network by rebroadcasting transactions with a different transaction id. A lot of bitcoin software relies on the assumption that the transaction id will not change once sent. The bitcoin transaction is still successful and only one of the transactions will be accepted. The attacker is not able to modify any data in the transaction, just the transaction id itself.

honestly that's pretty clever. unethical, but clever. but still, it's this sort of thing that i think keeps bitcoin out of favor with the public.
