Community sucks- bot is good, I just missed all the hackings though.

 

Everyone knows Powerbot, is an awful community. I've heard RSCA is a pretty secure one, but personally I love sythe.

 

They had a problem with one of the admins going insane and ddosing the site and hacking accounts etc

 

First of all, any law student (like myself) can tell you that slander is spoken. The potentially defamatory speech above would be considered libel. Second, they would have to prove actual malice, which would in this case would be insanely difficult.

Further, I have a feeling Powerbot would not be considered an entirely legal program. There have thus far been no US regulations, however, foreign countries such as Sweden, have passed laws making the use of bots illegal (unless allowed by the developer). If you defame a product that is illegal anyway, you cannot be held liable for damages (because, essentially, there are none).

Corrupt, absolutely.

 

powerbot is partnered with gold4rs. And all the hacking were from paris. when he released the bot every person who logged in using the bot he could see there pass and pin. they have fixed it now. Ive had many succesful trades with mods on there. let alone since the updated the bot and kicked paris out i havnt been hacked at all. the only way u could get hacked on rs bot now is downloading a bad script. ive gotten over 40m using there bots and all my cash is still there not even touched. ppl who say rsbuddy is better its not. its home to the hacking king (arbiter) i never lost money till i used his scripts. they look legit but he will hack u

Their staff is evil but I've used their bots in the past and they make decent freebies at least..Though after seeing this I'll probably steer clear of them for sure.

All of the good scripters went to RSbuddy which is about 100 times better than powerbot. Don't use powerbot...they all lie and their scripts suck!

 

I talked to a pbot mod about this who said he would talk to LC. He stopped responding whenever I would ask him about this which leads me to believe he can't repudiate it in any way.
