Sythe.org bans -> market only bans

Now I know DNT is newly implemented, but the whole idea was to stop people who have access to the community from trading. What Bus has done is use a community member, aka mod, @TheRsGod (apparently paying lovely mod to do it professionally but then rewords and changes this to I gave $25 as a nice gesture) if this doesn't shout sketchy? he then worked around this to go on skype (yes it's offsite- but it was directly for this community, the DNT rank, from a sythe member/staff, for his own sythe rank). On top of that, no disrespect TheRsGod, but people are already saying DNT needs a new rank, so he paid for a "professional" rank, which in a lot of people's eyes doesn't portray the reason and being of DNT. Makes sense to me why he would offer payment, or kind gesture for the look of that rank?

His rank is DoNotTrade, yet he's slyly gone around that and traded. I think there need's to be either strong clarifications, meaning 0% trading under any circumstances, or clarifications on what the rules are. Some people are abusing it already, how will this effect those who aren't even attempting to enter the market with DNT?

Apologies it may have been relevant. Some other staff I'm sure are not aware of the context of the situation. Hence why I specifically stated this is for Sythe. And hopefully TheRsGod to clarify the situation.

 

@Sonia that back and fourth with me and sythe wasnt entirely serious. I wouldnt just force him to deal with somebody but i genuinely am not sure how we're proceeding yet with these evasions so I've left it up to sythes discretion.

 

I know I don't expect staff to just lump it on Sythe, I just don't know that the staff understand what is happening with DNT that I can appreciate their concern on such subject. Hence why even if it wasn't entirely serious, the only person and the best person to crack down on such instances is Sythe himself.

As I have said before, The ban and DNT on Bus wasn't enough of a warning that he went against your innocence Sythe. I'm sorry, but he's not shown trust worthy-ness, within how many days? A warning is not enough. Not enough if we're being dead serious about how to go about punishments of those who abuse.

Is offsite trading not being allowed than @Sythe

If so I need to rethink some things because I have multiple companys that operate offsite, aswell as I'm invested in multiple others.

I didn't conduct that trade on sythe, that trade was for nothing but a sythe rank that was meant to help replace the old rank which was specifically ASKED for.


If I did something improper you have my sincere apologies, but unless I've vastly misunderstood what this rank is meant to be about, what I did shouldn't of been illegal, it doesn't involve a product or anything.

It's similar to saying if I hired a gfx artist on skype I knew from my sythe marketing days to make a banner for one of my companys, that's not me using the sythe market, that's simply me using my skype contacts, I didn't PM the rsg0d, and I didn't go hunting his sythe thread, I simply knew he was a professional gfx artist and needed a quality rank made, I didn't use sythe to know or hire his services at that time.

Understandable, I'm going to ask for staff's sake and I think the community's sake then because I also don't know the answer here:

Are you saying that using any service or site that's advertised on sythe will be considered a violation of DNT? IF so does this mean contacting anyone through skype or any other method of communication for some service/product is also a violation? even if you've previously known them/used them?


I'm not trying to bother you or anything, but I think that's a legitimate clarification everyone staff included should get to know about what ur thinking regarding.

 

I don't see how trading over Skype/any other platform and or website has any bearing to his DNT rank on Sythe. The rank dictates no trading ON Sythe.org. Skype, and anything else is fine by me.

 

From what I gather, you can do whatever you want, as long as it doesn't involve you using Sythe.org features (PM/Posting, etc). If you add someone on Skype, who uses Sythe, that's fine.

 

A simple example of not at arm's length is the sale of real property from parents to children. The parents might wish to sell the property to their children at a price below market value, but such a transaction might later be classified by a court as a gift rather than a bona fide sale, which could have tax and other legal consequences.


So... From what I gather offsite trades are still okay, and we can add people through sythe on skype and use them as long as we don't use any of the services(such as posting,pming,etc) provided by sythe.org.

We cant directly use the site to gain any more influence or stuff than what we would normally have as a guest is how I understood it lol.

From what SM said I'm hoping I'm right lol.


Keep the using of sythes trading assets(such as PMing, posting etc) at "arms length"?

 

Uh this can be closed I assume lol? Considering sythe basically wrapped it up, I don't know why this is still here o.o.

It's been dealt with and we've figured out a partial parameter on the rank thanks to this report& Sellerman/Sythe, which I assume was its intention.
