I’ve discussed with @video at the time of this suggestion being approved. When the scam report and the scammers’ Sythe profile both are older than 2 years the report will be denied. If the report is recent and/or the Sythe profile was active within the last 2 years then the report will still be handled.

 

The guy in the pic was last active in 2016 being my point

 

Fair point but that report isn’t an offsite one.

 

So it’s only off-site? Cause that is one of the questions I asked above, the suggestion was unclear. If so, that makes more sense.

 

Yes this only applies to offsite reports.

This was approved, reporting people from a decade ago that aren't active is indeed a waste of staff time. However, you may still report users who have been active on Sythe within the past two years.

 

Staff should clarify as according to what @Pikachu it is a waste of staffs time.

 

This has already been explained. The issue was me reporting old profiles, along with old scam reports. Those are no longer allowed. However, you're still free to report off-site reports when either 1) they were active within the last 2 years, or 2) when the scam occured within the last 2 years. For the report you just linked he was inactive for over 2 years, but the scam report happened within the last 2 years, so it's still being accepted.

 

Then the mods should clarify that.

We do not want off-site reports which date back further than two years, unless those users are actively scamming now.

- Is the off-site scammer active on Sythe within the last two years? Report them
- Is the off-site scammer inactive on Sythe but actively scamming/scammed within the last two years? Report them
- Is the off-site scammer inactive on Sythe for over two years and they haven't scammed in the last two years? Don't report them

This was implemented because some individuals were using bots to farm reports/waste Staff time. I've edited ABM's response in the suggestion to make this clearer.
